SELENA'S POV
I was really not wanting to do this at all. Taylor went to her desk and grabbed a needle full of numbing medicine making me gulp nervously. Taylor saw the panic in my face and gave me an encouraging smile
"It's not any different then the needles you give Sel, I've put numbing gel on your gums already to try and help you not feel it as much, I'll try and get this part done with nice and quick yeah" she said softly as she sat back down uncapping the needle
"That looks a lot bigger then the ones I give" I say hesitantly
"It's a bit longer to go into your gums but I promise it's not any different, the whole thing doesn't go in just as much as we need same goes for the medication" she replied
Karlie held my hands down so I wouldn't go to grab anything which made me even more nervous
"Alright open up for me" she said softly
I hesitantly opened my mouth and I immediately felt her poke the needle in my gums making me yelp
"Your ok Sel I'm almost done" Taylor said encouragingly
I whimpered through till she took it out and I sighed in relief
"That wasn't so bad now was it" she asked capping the needle back up
"That was terrible" I reply
"Sorry that's the worst part, everything should be easier now" she said softly as she started twisting the top of the drill on
"C could you maybe not use that" I ask nervously
"Oh, I'm sorry, I kind of have too in order to get the cavity out of your tooth but now that your numb it shouldn't be that bad you should just feel the pressure" she replied
"T that's the part I don't like" I reply
"It'll be ok, I'll be gentle I promise" she said softly as she grabbed her mirror again
"Go ahead and open again for me" she said encouragingly
I hesitantly reopened my mouth keeping my eyes shut as tightly as I could. She started drilling out the cavity and I kept a firm grip of the chair rests as Karlie kept my arms down away from my mouth
"You're doing so good Sel I'm almost finished here" Taylor said encouragingly as she continued
She finally finished the drilling and immediately went to filling the tooth and drying it before letting me close my mouth again. She leaned the chair back up and I was so damn happy to be done
"I'm sorry sel I tried to be as fast as I could while still being gentle" Taylor said
"No it's fine thanks Tay" I reply with a soft smile
