Paige's dental checkup

PAIGE'S POV

Me and my dad followed Taylor into an exam room where Karlie was and Taylor closed the door behind us

"Alright Paige go ahead and take a seat" Taylor said softly

I nervously went and sat in the chair not really wanting to be here

"So your mom told me you've been babying the left side of your mouth for a little while, are you having a bit of pain there hun" she asked leaning the chair back

"Y yeah" I reply nervously not realizing anyone knew about that

"It's alright love we'll see what's bugging you and get that taken care of" she said turning the light on and grabbing her mask and gloves from the tray putting them on as she sat on her stool behind the chair

"Open princess" she said softly as she grabbed two tools from her tray

I hesitantly opened my mouth and closed my eyes tightly as I felt her tap on all my teeth. It felt super weird but I kept my eyes shut the whole time

"Alright honey you have a couple of sugar bugs in your tooth here, we're going to go ahead and fix that up for you" she said softly as she took her tools out

"Auntie Taylor can we not" I ask hesitantly

"Paige sweetheart right now you have itty bitty sugar bugs eating away at your tooth, we don't want these sugar bugs to finish that tooth and move onto other teeth, that being said to prevent that from happening I need to go in and clean all those sugar bugs out and fix up what they've been eating off your tooth so we can make it nice and healthy again and prevent them from going and eating at any of your other teeth" Taylor said softly

"I'm scared" I whimper

"I know honey but this'll be nice and quick then it'll be all over" Taylor said encouragingly as Karlie came and placed a new tray on the table

Taylor opened packages and started setting up making me extremely anxious, she tried to keep everything as hidden as possible and out of my view but my nerves got the best of me

"Ok honey can you open nice and big for me" Taylor asked as she grabbed a q tip from the tray

I gave her a hesitant look before nervously opening my mouth and she rubbed the jelly on my gums. Karlie came and sat on the stool beside the chair and took hold of my arms keeping them down

"Close your eyes and keep open for me princess" Taylor said encouragingly

I closed my eyes really tightly before feeling a really sharp pinch in my mouth making me whimper and immediately open them

"I know princess I'm sorry your ok your doing so good" Taylor said

She took the needle out poking it back in behind my tooth making me squeal

"I'm sorry honey I just need to make sure your really numb I don't want to hurt you" she said sympathetically

She finished and took the needle out recapping it and putting it back on the tray letting me close my mouth again

"Alright hun now that that part is all done and over with the rest of this is super easy" she said softly making me nod

I kept to myself for a bit and stayed fairly quiet

"I'm going to go check on how you're sister is doing while we wait for that to work, while we wait maybe Karlie can show you the movies we have and you can pick one to watch while I fix your tooth" Taylor said softly as she stood up taking her mask and gloves off

"Ok" I reply

Taylor left the room and Karlie stood up grabbing a book from the cabinet. She let me flip through the pages of the book to find something I wanted to watch. I chose the lion king so Karlie stuck the movie in and gave me headphones to put on so that I could hear it. Shortly after Taylor came back and was talking to my dad but I couldn't hear what she was saying. She sat back down on her stool putting her mask and a new pair of gloves on

She grabbed her mirror and a machine thing pretty much letting me know she was ready to start so I opened my mouth for her. The machine thing felt so weird and caused a lot of pressure. I didn't like the feeling of it so I immediately tried pushing her away making Karlie immediately grab my hand and pull them back down

I looked at her sadly and she gave me a sympathetic smile as Taylor changed the tool she was using to something else. Soon enough she stuck this blue light thing in my mouth before taking it out and letting me close it leaning the chair back up. I took off the headphones and wiped the tears from my eyes, I was trying hard to be brave but it got very difficult

"I'm sorry honey are you ok" Taylor asked sympathetically as she took her mask off

"Y ya I'm ok" I whimper

"I know that wasn't easy hun but now your tooth won't hurt you anymore all those sugar bugs are gone" she said with a sympathetic smile

"Thank you auntie Taylor" I say jumping out of the chair

I was happy to be done, I also never want more sugar bugs again.
