TAYLOR'S POV

When the appointment finally ended, I felt a mix of relief and exhaustion. Jake wiped his hands and smiled at me.

"See? That wasn't so bad, was it?" He asked

"Honestly, it was better than I expected. You really helped me through it." I laughed, the tension melting away.

He grinned, leaning back in his chair. "That's what partners are for. I know it's a weird situation, but I'm proud of you for facing your fear."

"I was so embarrassed," I admitted. "I didn't want you to see me like that."

"Why? It shows you're human," he said, sincerity in his voice. "We all have our fears, and admitting them makes us stronger. I admire that about you."

Feeling a warmth spread through me, I smiled. "Thank you, Jake. I think you might have saved my tooth and my pride."

"Anytime," he said, standing up and pulling me into a gentle hug. "And remember, I'm always here if you need anything, whether it's a checkup or just a little reassurance."

As we embraced, I realized that this experience had brought us closer. Jake wasn't just my boyfriend; he was my partner in every sense of the word.
