Dallas's Checkup

DALLAS'S POV

"Alright kiddo let's take a look at you" Austin said picking me up and sitting me on the table

"Can we not" I whimper

"I'm sorry honey unfortunately that's not an option, I'll be really gentle though, I promise" he said softly as he stuck his thermometer in my ear making me jump away

"Dallas I know your scared princess but you know the sooner you let me finish this the sooner it's all over" he sighed as he stuck it back in my ear taking it out after the beep

"Uncle Austin do I need any special medicine" I ask nervously as he grabbed one of his tools and started checking my ears

"I'm sorry honey I think you do need some but it's just one" he said softly before checking my nose and taking the cap off grabbing a popsicle stick

"Open and say ah hun" he said softly making me oblige and he checked my throat

"Good job" he said softly as he let me close my mouth

He grabbed the thing around his neck sticking it in his ears and rubbing it in between his hands

"Alright hun may just be a bit cold" he warned before slipping it under my shirt and listening to my heart

He moved onto my lungs and had me take deep breaths for him which I did. He grabbed the cuff off the wall putting it around my arm sticking the stethoscope under it immediately making it get tighter. I looked over at my dad and he gave me a soft smile

"Your doing so good princess" my dad said encouragingly

"Thanks" I reply as Austin took the cuff off my arm and hung it back up putting his stethoscope back around his neck

"Alright hun we're almost done ok your doing great" Austin said softly making me nod

He grabbed his reflex hammer checking my reflexes before asking me to lay down which I did. He immediately started pressing on my stomach, I didn't like this part very much so I was happy when he was finished

"Ok so we're on the last part I'm just going to have you scoot all the way to the bottom of the bed hun both legs dangling off the bed" he said softly as he gently pulled me down to the bottom

I looked at him nervously and he gave me a sympathetic smile

"Your alright hun just stay nice and still ya" he said softly as he leaned right up against my legs so I couldn't kick and wiped one off

I tried squirming away from him but he quickly poked my leg making me cry out

"I know honey it's ok it's all done" he said as he took the needle out and stuck a bandaid on my leg

I sat up immediately jumping off the table, I was just happy that was over. We met back up with my mom and sister and Paige looked like she was relieved it was finished too. We got to leave Austin's office and go over to our auntie Taylor's which I also was not looking forward to
