Selena's Checkup

SELENAS POV

The chair was leaning back and I immediately jumped out of it and hovered the corner

"Your ok Sel come lay down" Taylor said softly

"I'm sorry Tay I can't" I say nervously

"Selena, you know me, I would never hurt anyone never mind hurt my best friend, I know your scared but I'll be extremely gentle, we can do this nice and quick and it'll be all over for another 6 months" she replied

"You don't get it Tay" I whimper

"Trust me I do get it, I understand completely, I get you have major dental anxiety trust me I do too, but I just want to take a quick look, we can get through this nice and fast and then you can be all done" she said encouragingly

"Can you come lay back down for me" she added

I hesitantly went back over to the chair laying down as it was already laid back. Taylor went and got a mask and gloves from her desk and put them on as she sat back behind the chair on her stool. I could feel my self shaking and I had no clue how this was going to go

"Hey Sel it's ok just breathe alright this will all be over soon" Taylor said sympathetically as she grabbed tools from her tray

"Can you open big for me" she said softly

I hesitantly opened my mouth and she started scanning around. I felt extremely anxious. She touched a tooth making it flair up in pain. I went to push her away but Karlie grabbed onto my hands immediately

"I'm so sorry Sel, I know that hurt you have a pretty good sized cavity here we'll fix that up and we'll be all done" she said taking the explorer out of my mouth and rubbing the gel around my tooth

I looked up at Taylor in fear and she took her tools out of my mouth letting me close it.

"Ok so I'm going to have to numb you and I'll warn you now you may feel it a bit, it may hurt a bit but it'll help assure you won't feel the rest of the filling" she said sympathetically already knowing how terrified I was it would hurt

"Can we just not do the filling" I whimper

"Do you remember the pain you felt when i touched that tooth, I've irritated it Sel, that means if I were to just let that go and let you leave with that cavity there's high chances that the tooth is going to cause you pain now, it would be so much easier to fix when your here already then we can assure you won't have that tooth pain" She said sympathetically
