SCOTTS POV

Taylor could sense how nervous I was and I think she kind of already knew this wasn't going to be an easy task for either of us

"Ok I'm going to go grab Karlie so this will be a lot smoother then we can get this done" Taylor said before leaving the room.

I was already panicked but when Amelia looked at me with a sympathetic expression I felt there was a reason this wouldn't go well

"When Karlie gets called in its never a good sign" Amelia said

She was probably right I didn't think her calling in her assistant would be anything good especially because she's a fairly independent person and I assume she'd be that way at work too

"Amelia don't scare him more that's not very nice your going to have to go too and payback sucks" Austin said

"No it's fine Austin, I already know it's probably not a good sign" I reply hesitantly as Taylor came back in with Karlie

"Alright are you ready to get this done" Taylor asked softly.

As hesitant as I was I agreed, I just really wanted this to be over.

"Ok this is just a gel first it's going to help so you don't feel the needle as much" she said sticking a q-tip in my mouth

She sat back behind the chair pulling her mask back up that she had sitting on her chin and Karlie sat on the one on the side

"Alright so here's how this is going to work Karlie's here so you don't react too much to anything I'm doing to keep us all safe, sometimes without realizing it if somethings hurting you your body will have the tendency to reach up and grab whatever it is and as you can probably guess with me having a drill or a needle in your mouth that may not end too well for anyone so if you do end up reacting that's when Karlie will play in" she explained softly as she rubbed the jelly around my tooth before taking the q-tip out

"Biggest thing I'm going to tell you is don't close your mouth and don't move, I need you to stay still and keep your mouth open at all times whenever my tools are in your mouth no matter what, if it hurts too much that you can't handle it raise your hand I'll stop and either give you a break or numb you up some more depending on the reason you stop me" she said softly as she grabbed the needle from the tray and uncapped it

"Your just going to feel a quick sharp scratch in 3,2,1" she warned before poking the needle in my mouth making me jump slightly

"I'm sorry" she said as she took it out poking it in again

Each time she took it out and re poked it again it made me jump

"Your doing great we're just gonna wait for that to start working" she said recapping the needle and disposing of it

I could feel my entire body shaking and I couldn't control it at all. Taylor became sympathetic again and pulled her mask back down

"It's alright dad we're almost done the rest of this will be nice and easy alright, you've done the hard part already" Taylor said

I nodded still very panicked and she looked up at Karlie

"Maybe we'll try nitrous oxide just so we can finish this and he won't shake as bad" she said making Karlie nod standing up and pulling over a machine that was hidden under the desk

"Alright dad this is just some laughing gas it's not going to be on enough to make you loopy but it'll be on enough to calm you down a bit for us, I just need you to take some take some slow deep breaths ok" Taylor said softly grabbing the mask from the machine

She stuck it on my nose and turned it on letting the effects kick in. It was helping to relax me and I was no longer shaking which I think was the thing they were wanting to stop

"Ok let's finish this, can you open again for me" Taylor asked pulling her mask back up.

I nervously opened my mouth again and she immediately started drilling out the tooth. The feeling felt super weird and uncomfortable I didn't like it at all. I went to grab it just like Taylor had said but Karlie was quick at grabbing my wrists and pulling my hands back down

"I know it sucks but you're doing good she's almost done" she said softly keeping a grip on my wrists so I don't try again.

"I'm sorry I'm almost done your doing great" Taylor said finishing up

She finished off drilling my tooth quickly filling it up and drying it with her blue light thing and Karlie let go of my hands turning the machine off

"Thank god for laughing gas hey" Taylor said with a soft smile as she took the mask for it off my nose and took her mask and gloves off.

"Thanks Tay" I said slightly embarrassed about my dental anxiety from today

"It's no problem, ok who's next" Taylor asked softly making no one answer yet again
