This plane crash takes us to the Asian country of Indonesia, which is located next to the following countries: East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Brunei and Malaysia and it's located near the Philippines, Singapore and Australia.

Garuda Indonesia Flight 152, registered as Papa Kilo- Golf Alpha India (PK-GAI), was a scheduled domestic passenger flight operated by Garuda Indonesia from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (IATA: CGK, ICAO: WIII), Jakarta, Indonesia to Polonia International Airport (IATA: MES, ICAO: WIMK), Medan, Indonesia, on the 26th of September 1997, the aircrafts flying this route was an Airbus A300, crashed into mountainous woodlands near the village of Buah Nabar, Sibolangit, the crash killed all 234 people on board, which makes it the deadliest aviation disaster in Indonesia's history.
A 1:13pm local time, ATC in Medan cleared the flight for an ILS approach to Runway 05 from it's 316 degree heading, the crew were instructed to turn left to a heading of 240 degrees so as to intercept the ILS localiser, the crew was then asked to turn further left to 215 degrees, at 1:30pm local time, Medan instructed the crew to descend to 2,000 feet and then turn right heading 046 degrees to line up for an arrival into Runway 05, the plane turned left instead of right and due to the smoke from wildfires in the area, the crew couldn't see the high terrain, the plane descended below 2,000 feet, the CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder) registered the sound of the plane striking trees, the plane crashed into a ravine 27 kilometres from the Runway 05 threshold, 18 kilometres to the south of the centreline, the aircraft hit the ground at 1:32pm local time, the right wing was low after it was shared off due to the impact with trees, it was turning towards the airport as the plane crashed, it was on a heading of 230-240 degrees and it crashed at an altitude of 1,550 feet, the plane disintegrated upon impact with the ground.
The summary of the crash was Controlled Flight into Terrain due to Pilot error, ATC error and GPWS malfunction.
