Avianca Flight 671, registered as Hotel Kilo- 177 (HK-177), was a Lockheed Constellation aircraft that crashed and burned on landing at Sangster International Airport (IATA: MBJ, ICAO: MKJS), Montego Bay, Jamaica, on the 21st of January 1960, the crash remains the worst accident in Jamaican aviation history, the flight originated at Miami International Airport (IATA: MIA, ICAO: KMIA), Miami, Florida, the aircraft operating the flight was a Lockheed L-1049E Super Constellation used by Avianca for it's El Dorado International Airport (IATA: BOG, ICAO: SKBO), Bogotá, Colombia to Montego Bay, Jamaica route, the crash killed 37 out of the 46 people on board the plane.

On landing at the airport, the plane made a heavy touchdown, the plane then bounced and landed back on the runway, then it skidded down the runway in flames, the plane came to a rest upside down 1,900 feet from the runway threshold and 200 feet left of the runway threshold.

The summary of the crash was a Runway excursion, hard landing.
