"Cid said the Vanguard Axis is notorious for illegal smuggling." Hunter said as the group exited the Marauder.

"Emphasis on illegal." Valerie added, still protesting this mission.

"So be ready for anything." He finished. "We'll make the delivery. Echo, Valerie, Omega. Guard the ship."

Omega nodded as Hunter, Tech, and Wrecker walked into the building. Valerie adjusted her cloak, reminding herself she is okay and that she still has her lightsaber. Something in the distance sent her nerves on edge. She turned that direction and stared.

"Uh Val? You okay?" Omega asked. Valerie didn't say anything but nodded. Omega sat on the stairs, Echo stood next to her. His arms folded, and Valerie was still facing the direction she was facing earlier. "There's something off about this place. I don't like it."

"Yea. Me neither." Echo agreed, "but we're not staying for long." Valerie looked at the droids before looking back, she tilted her head. "I'll prep the ship." He said as he boarded. Valerie turned back, watching Echo.

Once he was out of view Valerie started to walk in the direction that caught her interest. Omega took note of this. "Val?" She whispered, she stood up at this moment she heard the sound of a creature being tortured. Omega followed Valerie. "Val!" She whispered again, catching up.

"Shh." Valerie shushed her. "Something isn't right here." She whispered. The two girls rounded a corner and Valerie heard the sound of a Wookiee. They looked over and saw a youngling Wookiee being shocked by some of the droids. Valerie sensed this wasn't any ordinary Wookiee.

Omega ran forward. "Stop! You're hurting him!" Valerie reached her hand out to stop her but it was too late, she followed.

"Halt humanoids." One of the droids said. "Do not interfere with Vanguard Axis business." Valerie got Omega behind her and held her hand out, the other under her cloak. The Wookiee grabbed the other droid's staff and took him out. Valerie ran forward and grabbed the other droid's staff and shocked it. The droid the Wookiee took out, got up and charged towards Valerie and him.

"No!" Omega called out and shot an arrow at it. The two of them looked at her. The Wookiee held the staff, clearly exhausted.

Valerie put a hand on his shoulder and the two of them stared at each other, almost as if they were sensing what the other was. "Are you alright?"

Omega heard the sound of doors opening and droids approaching. "More are coming. We need to hurry!" Omega said and took off running. Valerie looked back at him and took his arm and ran after Omega.

Valerie had let go of his hand while the three of them ran. They rounded a corner but Omega stopped them. More droids exited the door. Omega turned around and saw the Wookiee was gone. Valerie sensed he was still close by. Valerie grabbed Omega and the two girls took off running again. They ran into a droid and Valerie held the staff out.

"Halt!" The droid said before the Wookiee jumped down on it, driving the staff into its head. He ran past them.

"Not that way!" Omega called out and followed him. He knelt down in front of a crate, rummaging through it. Valerie followed both of them. "What is he looking for?" She asked Valerie.

"He's looking for something-" Valerie started but the Wookiee turned back speaking Shyriiwook, Valerie nodded understanding his need for secrecy. "He's looking for something very important to him."

Omega ran up to him. "What are you doing?" She asked. Valerie followed and turned around, watching her surroundings. "We need to go before they find you."

"Omega, Valerie, let's get back to the ship." Echo called out. 

The Wookiee growled and Valerie got in front of him and held her hand out. "No, no! It's alright, he's with us."
