"Tech you need to hurry!"

"Do not be afraid Val."

"Val, you have to get up there. Use the force and get to the others."

"Wrecker, you must sever the connection hinge. Now!"

"Val, you need to save yourself."

"Not without you!"

"When have we ever followed orders?"

Valerie felt a pair of hands wrap around her throat. She opened her eyes and found a pair of brown ones full of hate staring back down on her.

"T-Tech?" She choked out.

"Why did you kill us?!" He snarled.

"What? I don't understand?" Valerie pleaded and wrapped her hands around his wrist. "Tech, you're... you're hurting me!"

"And you killed me!" He snapped, his voice full of venom. "You think I wanted to die? Let alone die with you?"

"Tech-" Valerie's eyes started to water.

"The worst part is YOU get to live while I have to suffer the consequences of YOUR actions." His grip tightened. "Do you know what I've become?"

"S-stop!" Her vision started going black. "You don't mean that!"

"I never loved you." Tech stated.

Valerie's heart shattered. Her hands loosened around his wrist and closed her eyes. She just accepted her fate.

Valerie jolted up in her bed, breathing heavily. Her eyes were already wet from crying in her dreams. She brought her legs up as close as she could and just started sobbing into her knees. She let herself cry for a moment.

There was a nudge in her stomach. Valerie stopped crying and lifted her head up. She pushed herself back against the headboard and rested her hands on her stomach.

"I'm sorry, did you not like the crying?" Valerie asked. She lifted her head up, realizing that this was the first time she actually spoke to the little life form growing inside her.

There was another kick to her side.

Valerie smiled and rubbed her stomach. "I'm sorry little one. I just had a bad dream is all." She rubbed her hand in a slow circular motion. "It was about your daddy, but the dream... isn't true... I think."

The little one inside her settled down.

"Yea, you're right I suppose. He did love us." She sighed. "You really are just my little ray of hope aren't you?"

Valerie looked at the window. The sun was rising and she could already feel the warmth from the Pabu skies. She kicked her feet over the bed and stood up. She made her way towards the window and opened it. The sounds of the birds and ocean filled the room. She took a deep breathing, soaking in the fresh air.

"I need to remember what happened on Eriadu." Valerie said out loud. She turned back into the room and quickly changed into some comfortable clothing. She left the room and then out of her new domicile. There were already people out and about in the morning and she walked down the steps and towards the Marauder.
