Everyone was busy getting ready to leave Pabu. Hunter, Crosshair, and Wrecker were loading up the Marauder with supplies. Omega was with Lyana dropping some things off in the Archium. Moose and Bo were contacted by Rex so they went to see what he needed. Thankfully Valerie convinced Ginkgo to stay behind, and Valerie...
Valerie was kneeling in the sand. She was alone on the beach. She had gotten together a pile of rocks and stacked them in a pile. She had just finished wrapping two pieces of driftwood together and created a makeshift cross. She had placed it in the center of the rocks.
"Tech." Valerie sighed and grabbed the helmet that was sitting next to her. "I am so sorry that you don't get to have a funeral or some sort of ceremony for your death." She held the helmet in her hands. "It's not fair. You deserve so much better."
Valerie's thumb brushed over the fading paint of Tech's helmet. She couldn't help that her eyes had started watering. Stray tears falling into the sand below her.
"I know you're dead... Your heart was not beating." Valerie's voice wavered. "But tell me why is there some part of me that can still feel you out there." She took a shaky breath. "Something is not adding up Tech, where could you possibly be that you are not by my side?"
Valerie moved one of her hands to her stomach and caressed her baby bump. "I don't know if I can do this without you. If you aren't really gone I need something, some sign because I am so scared."
Valerie looked up, she saw the birds had been disturbed and were flying around and squawking. She looked at the water and she saw the ripple in waves that aren't caused by the normal current. She looked back down at the helmet.
"What are you trying to tell me?" She whispered.
She looked around again but there was nothing more going on. The sound of the ocean continued behind her. "Omega, Val, time to go." Valerie's comm sparked to life with Hunter's voice.
"Copy." Omega responded.
Valerie sighed. "We have to go now." She scanned over the helmet for the last time. "This isn't goodbye." She lightly kissed the top of the helmet before carefully placing it on the cross. "I love you... Tech."
Valerie stood up and brushed the sand off her knees. She pulled out her comm. "On my way to the ship." She replied.
With one last look at the grave, Valerie let her last tear fall and she started walking back towards the fishing docks.

Valerie had to make one more stop at her domicile before she joined the others on the Marauder. She saw her home and once she stepped through the threshold she paused. There was a tight pain in her abdomen and there was a burning feeling in her nether region.
"Oh! Oh!" Valerie grabbed the back of a chair. "By the force that was a new one!" She exclaimed. "Don't ever move like that again."
Valerie stood there, taking deep breaths as the waves of cramping and pain worked through her body. She had her eyes closed trying to focus.
"That was... wow!" She breathlessly said. "Why'd you do that?"
There was a buzzing in the back of her head. Valerie looked back at the door, ignoring the pain coursing through her body. "Something's wrong... Wrecker." She whispered.

Hunter was walking with Crosshair where the vendors were picking up the last of their supplies. He was listening to the birds and paused. He watched some of them fly off.
"What is it?" Crosshair asked. He may have been gone for a while but he always knew to never doubt his brother's senses.
Hunter was quiet for another moment before speaking up. "Not sure, but I don't like it." He pulled his comm-link out. "Omega, Val, time to go."
