Happy Sunday! I know this chapter is coming out a bit earlier than my normal time but I am going to most likely be unavailable around 4pm today(EST). I didn't want to miss out on posting this chapter so I decided to post it now. I hope you enjoy it as it has kinda worked its way up to being one of my top 5 chapters! Anyways, I hope everyone has a great rest of their Sunday!

"Hunter, when will you let me see him? It's been three months now!" Valerie demanded. She and Hunter were right outside her ship on Upper Pabu. Wrecker had taken little baby Hope and wandered off when the fighting started... again.

"Val, I'm telling you he's not ready." Hunter stated.

"When did you get to decide that for me or for him?!" Valerie said. "Don't you remember I was the one who got him out. I want to see him."

"And he's tried to kill you multiple times." Hunter reminded her. "Yes, the progress we are making is slow but I don't want to set him back."

"You think I'm going to set him back?" Valerie folded her arms.

"That's not what I said." Hunter sighed. "We finally made a crack in whatever Hemlock's done to him. It was small but we did it. I just worry that if he sees you, a Jedi, then he'll just revert back to thinking he's CX-2."

"He remembered me Hunter!" Valerie pleaded. "I can probably get him back, please just let me try."

"I can't Valerie, not right now." Hunter said. "I'm sorry but this is for the best."

"Is this for the best, Hunter?" Valerie questioned. "Is it?"

"You two arguing again?" Crosshair scoffed as he strolled over to them.

"No." Hunter said.

"Yes." Valerie said at the same time. The two of them looked at each other and Valerie rolled her eyes. "He won't let me see Tech."

"He's still under the influence." Crosshair pointed out.

"He is." Hunter agreed. "That's why I'm telling Val he's not ready yet."

"I can get through to him." Valerie argued back.

"Why are you waiting for Hunter's permission?" Crosshair asked. "It doesn't seem like you to ask for that."

"Not helping, Crosshair." Hunter glared at his brother.

Crying pulled the three of them away from the tense conversation. Wrecker was walking over with Hope in his arms. She was crying hysterically.

"She won't stop crying now." Wrecker held her out to Valerie as Valerie walked over and took the baby from his arms. "I don't know what's wrong."

"It is dinner time." Valerie started lightly bouncing Hope. "I suppose I best get the little one fed." She started walking away but paused and turned around to the boys. "This conversation isn't over." She walked away from them.

"You know she is going to burst that door down one day." Crosshair said when she was gone from their view. "You can't keep her from him."

"I can for the time being." Hunter looked at him. "Hope's been keeping her busy."

"Wait, Crosshair, if you're with us... who's watching Tech?" Wrecker asked.

"Ginkgo." Crosshair stated. "He was doing a medical exam or something. Bo's with him."

"It's my turn to watch him anyway." Hunter said. "I'll go and relieve them from duty."

"I'll bring you some grub later." Wrecker waved as Hunter jogged off towards where Tech was tied up.
