"Who are you?" Hunter asked.
"CX-2." The clone tied to the chair struggled. He screamed and pulled on his binds some more.
"Wrong answer, Tech." Hunter sighed and leaned back in his chair. He and Wrecker were once again working on breaking Tech from whatever tortures that Hemlock had done to him. They were in one of the houses that Shep let them borrow. They turned it into some sort of holding cell for their brother.
"I am not Tech." Tech snapped, again trying to pull on his restraints.
"You are Tech!" Hunter stood up from his seat. "We rescued you from Tantiss."
"Tantiss..." Tech shook his head. "My mission... kill the Jedi."
"No." Hunter rubbed his face and walked behind him, to Wrecker. Who was leaning on the wall.
"What happens if we can't break Tech from whatever this is?" Wrecker asked.
"I don't know." Hunter sighed again. "It's not fair to keep Tech suffering like this, but I told Val we would try but nothing is working."
"Maybe we should bring Val into this." Wrecker suggested... again. "She has a point and the potential of getting through to him. Nothing that we do is getting through to him."
"Did she put you up to this?" Hunter questioned. "I said no. It's going to kill her, seeing him like this."
"She fought him, Hunter. I think she knows that he's stuck in his own mind." Wrecker said.
"Wrecker-" Hunter started.
"Hunter..." There was a whisper. The two brothers turned and saw Tech's head leaning forward and was heavily breathing. "I-I'm thirsty."
He was free... for another moment.
Hunter looked at Wrecker before walking over to the sink and getting a cup of water. Once the cup was filled he walked over to Tech and sat in the seat. He held the water up. "Here."
Tech looked up, in his eyes, Hunter didn't see the hatred behind them. No, this time they were tired. He carefully brought his mouth to the edge of the glass and sipped it. "Thank you." He leaned his head forward again.
Hunter looked over Tech's shoulder at Wrecker. The big clone walked to the side of him. "Tech...?" Wrecker carefully said.
"Yes?" Tech looked over to him. The look of shock from Wrecker's face had him looking at Hunter. Hunter could tell Tech started to panic. "Where is Val? Is she safe? Is she alright?" Hunter looked at Wrecker again. "I-I didn't kill her did I? Oh maker I-"
"She's fine." Hunter looked back at him. "It's just. How much is you and how much is CX still is in there?"
"I don't know." Tech shook his head. "I want to see Val."
"No." Hunter put the cup down. "Not right now."
"I want to see her!" Tech shook his head and started screaming. He struggled in the chair. They were loosing him.
"You're not you, Tech." Hunter stood up. "You can't see her until you are better."
Tech continued to scream and Hunter and Wrecker walked to the door. "This isn't right." Wrecker stated. "Maybe we just let Tech see her. From a distance or something. It might help him."
"No." Hunter paused, trying to think of a new plan.
"I am to kill her with no hesitation." Tech whispered.
"What?" Wrecker questioned as the two of them looked at Tech. He was leaning forward again.
"I am to kill Valerie Ortis." He whispered again.
