"Oh I hate recon!" Wrecker complained about the most recent briefing.
"You are not doing recon, Wrecker." Hunter turned to his brother. "Valerie and Crosshair are doing recon. You, Tech, and I are waiting here, on the Marauder. We are back up."
"Ugh, I hate being back up even more!" Wrecker groaned some more.
Valerie was watching the big clone from the bridge of the Marauder. One of her eyebrows was raised as she watched him complain about the assignments. Her stance didn't go unnoticed.
"He always does this." She turned, seeing Tech at the controls. "Unless it involves us going in guns-a-blazin' he will always complain about the missions."
"And you all just let him complain like this?" Valerie asked as she took the seat next to him. She turned the chair to face him but he stayed facing the controls.
Tech shrugged. "It's his nature. He cannot change that as we cannot change that for him."
"I see." Valerie nodded and turned towards the controls. The planet of Serenno came into view as they exited hyperspace. Valerie shuddered.
"Are you alright?" Tech asked, seeing her visibly uncomfortable.
"This place... makes me uneasy." Valerie shook her head. "The darkside of the force completely surrounds Serenno, especially its castle."
"At least it is only recon." Hunter said as he walked up behind them. "You will be in and out in a flash. Once you and Crosshair have that data, we'll extract you."
"I know." Valerie nodded. Hunter nodded as well before turning around and leaving the bridge. He made his way to Crosshair who was cleaning his blaster rifle... and scowling at Valerie.
"Valerie?" Tech was looking back at Crosshair. She looked back at him, staring at his brother. "Do not let Crosshair get under your skin."
"Why would I let Crosshair get under my skin?" Valerie tilted her head.
"Crosshair is..." He paused, looking at the Jedi. "He can be difficult when it comes to change, and well it's not you but he is not keen on a new addition to the team."
"He knows this is only temporary right?" Valerie looked at Crosshair, who was currently getting lectured by Hunter. Something about playing nice.
"Yes." Tech nodded.
Valerie sighed. "Well, this assignment is going to be just delightful then."

"Remember, stay hidden and track what you see." Hunter reminded Valerie and Crosshair as they climbed off the Marauder. "We'll come back in a few hours."
"Understood." Crosshair mumbled through his helmet before turning around and started walking away.
Hunter looking back at Valerie. "I'll keep an eye on him."
"Good luck." Hunter said.
"Ah, I don't need luck when it comes to possibly dealing with tinnies." Valerie chuckled.
The Marauder started to ascend into the air. "I don't mean the Separatist, Valerie." Hunter saluted her and the ship took off.
Valerie took a deep breath. "Right..." She turned around and followed the path. She walked swiftly down the path. Crosshair seemed way ahead of her. She almost thought he actually ran to get away from her.
When she finally caught up to Crosshair, he was already in position. His sniper was set up and he was looking through the scope.
"You know, we are supposed to be doing this together." Valerie stated as she crouched down next to him.
