Valerie was down by the ocean, staring out into the water early in the morning. She had beaten most of Pabu up and watched the sunrise. She was enjoying her solitude, but her back was starting to stiffen up. She moved her hands to her lower back and tried to stretch herself out.
"You good?" Someone asked her. She turned, seeing Crosshair walking towards her with a bowl of fruit and his sniper rifle.
"Yep, my back just hurts." She paused. "So do my feet... and pretty much all of my organs."
"Okay, I get it." Crosshair held his hands up but paused. Valerie knew he was thinking of another question but she didn't have to ask him as he quickly said. "How did Tech manage to get you pregnant?"
Valerie scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Same way all living species do you drydek... sex."
"Just stop, I get it." Crosshair rolled his eyes also and set the bowl down.
"Yea." Valerie sighed and looked back out at the ocean. Crosshair watched her absent mindedly rub her stomach. He dropped his rifle before walking over to her.
"So, uh, so um, how far along are you?" He asked, trying to make small talk.
Valerie shrugged. "Ginkgo estimates around seven... eight months at this point but I don't know, I kinda didn't keep track for a while."
"How do you not keep track?" Crosshair asked.
"Denial." Valerie glanced at him.
"Ah... I see." Crosshair kicked the sand. "Well, if it makes you feel any better. I don't think Tech would've been good around kids, cause well..."
How do you know I would be good around kids?" Valerie questioned. "This is also my first child."
"You raised the child knights at the temple right?" Crosshair shrugged.
"I never raised a Padawan." Valerie turned to him, folding her arms. "I was the Padawan."
"Right..." Crosshair looked back down at the sand.
"I see what you're doing Crosshair." Valerie shook her head. "You're not very good at it."
"Good at what?" Crosshair scoffed.
"Apologizes." Valerie smiled. "It's okay, I forgive you."
"You shouldn't forgive me." Crosshair stated. "I tried to kill you."
"Yea but you didn't." Valerie chuckled. "If you wanted to get technical though, I technically tried killed myself... I think."
Before Crosshair could respond the medical droid AZI floated towards them. "You requested my presence for some training?" It asked.
"More training?" Valerie asked.
"Yea. I need it." Crosshair said and walked back over to the bowl of fruit. Picking it up and handing it to AZI. "Stand over there with these."
"Copy that." The droid said and followed directions. Valerie strolled near him and sat down, crossing her legs. She rested her hands on her knees and closed her eyes.

The medical droid was floating over the ocean holding various fruits that Crosshair had brought with him. Valerie was also still by the ocean. She was still sitting on the rocks meditating. She had sensed someone coming down the rocks.
Crosshair fired and the droid spun around in a panic at his missed shot. Before looking back at him and chuckling when someone else was coming down to them. "Greetings, Omega!" AZI waved to her, holding the fruit still.
