Sounds of an infant's cry filled Valerie's ears. Laying on her stomach, she buried her face further into the pillow but there was nothing Valerie could do to escape the high pitch screams. Valerie flipped around and looked at the open window. Morning was starting to rise but the sun wasn't up yet.

"You couldn't even wait until the sun had risen?" The new mother rubbed her face with her hand.

She forced herself out of bed and trudged her way out of her room and into the nursery. The small baby was kicking her arms and feet in the air, screaming like her life depended on it.

"Shh, shh." Valerie carefully picked her daughter up. "Mommy's here now, Hope." She rested the babe on her shoulder and gently bounced her. "I'm here now."

Hope continued screaming.

"Are you hungry?" Valerie asked and left the nursery. "You have to be hungry if you are being this loud." She walked over to the kitchen and worked on getting a bottle ready with her free hand. "You definitely are related to Uncle Wrecker if you are being this vocal about being hungry." She chuckled to herself with her comment.

Once the bottle was the appropriate temperature. Valerie adjusted Hope in her arms and brought the bottle to her mouth. Hope quickly quieted down and took the bottle.

"Hungry little Havoc-7, aren't we?" Valerie chuckled and turned around, walking back into her room.

The door closed behind her and Valerie walked over to the window. A Baby Moon-yo was sitting in her windowsill, curious to what Valerie was doing. "You're up early too, aren't you?" Valerie asked the little Moon-yo.

The Moon-yo chirped out its response and tilted its head at Hope.

"She's a baby, like you." Valerie smiled. "She wanted breakfast. You should be getting breakfast soon as well." Valerie looked up at the sun just barely peeking over the horizon.

The Moon-yo chirped again before turning around and jumping out of the windowsill. Valerie chuckled once again and walked over to the bed. Hope stopped feeding and Valerie sat on the bed and gently burped her.

"There you go." Valerie said. "Feeling better now?"

Hope let out a short coo. Valerie continued smiling.

"I can't wait until you can start talking." Valerie put the bottle down and got settled in the bed, laying Hope down next to her. She laid on her side. "There is just so much I can't wait to tell you. To show you." Valerie let out a yawn. "I hope that your daddy gets better soon as well." She wiggled her finger in Hope's face, causing the baby to try and grab it. "I really want for him to meet you and for you to meet him. You two... you two would be inseparable I just know it. Daddy's little girl..."

Valerie settled down and continued to try and fight off sleep but ultimately ended up dozing off. Hope stayed awake though. She kicked her little legs in the air and chewed on her hand. There was movement at the end of the bed and Hope cooed.

The blurred figure moved closer to the infant. Hope cooed some more. "So this is Valerie's newborn baby?" The figure leaned over the girl. He was smiling at her. "Don't you just seem precious." He said as Hope continued to chew on her hand. "Someone important is going to visit you today, my captain. He's very important to me so take care of him will you?"

Hope cooed, reaching her hands up towards the mysterious figure.

The man chuckled. "Your mother is also very important to me. She is like a daughter to me so therefore you are my granddaughter. Take care of her as well. I will be watching over you."

Valerie shifted in the bed and the man straightened up. "It appears our first meeting is being cut short, little one. You won't remember me but I know your mother is going to talk about me when you are older. So until I see you again little one." Hope watched the man walk out of her line of vision.
