It was one of the rarer cloudy and colder days on Pabu, but for Valerie she didn't mind. It reminded her of the time she got to spend at her home on Lah'mu. She was sitting outside on top of the picnic bench in front of her home. Her legs were crossed and she had her eyes closed. She had on Tech's sweatshirt and in a way, she was meditating, but her hands rested on her belly.
"I don't know what it is, little one." Valerie whispered. "But there is something off in the force... don't you feel it?"
There was a soft kick in the center of her right hand.
"Exactly." Valerie nodded. "It's in moments like these where the force is clouded and we have to do with what little information it provides for us. It's why we meditate." Valerie took a deep breath. "To try and find clarity."
Valerie listened to the surrounding whispers and waves.
She smiled. "Your uncles are at the fishing docks and your auntie," Valerie chuckled. "Is exploring those caverns again. "With Batcher by her side." Valerie didn't know why, but she found herself talking more and more to the little life inside of her.
Valerie was starting to get used to the idea of eventually being a mother...
Even if it meant doing this on her own.
Valerie took another deep breath and opened her eyes. "I hope it's just the weather messing with my senses." Valerie tried to convince herself. "Because I do not know what else could be wrong."
There was more movement inside of her.
Valerie chuckled. "You're right. I could also go for some sort of sweet treat... perhaps a fruity sorbet." Valerie opened her eyes and her mouth had started watering. "That sounds really good. What do you think?"
Valerie slipped off the table and adjusted the sweatshirt she was wearing. With one more look towards the fishing docks, Valerie made her way towards Upper Pabu and towards her desert.

Omega was throwing a stick to her Lurca hound. There were some Moon-yo's playing in the distance. The girl was on her way to the caverns yet again. Part of her was starting to become restless with hiding on Pabu.
Batcher picked up the stick and shook it in her mouth. She caught wind of the Moon-yo's and she dropped the stick and started darting after the creatures.
"Batcher, wait!" Omega darted after the hound.
The Moon-yo's ran into one of the cave entrances and Batcher jumped off the rocks after them but stopped right at the entrance. Omega climbed down the rocks as Batcher started backing away and whining.
"Batcher?" She questioned as the Lurca hound went back to Omega. "What is it? What's wrong?" Batcher looked back towards the cave as Omega pulled out her flashlight.
Batcher started growling.
Omega got down on one knee. "It's just a cavern. We've been in there plenty of times." Omega went to explore the cave but Batcher jumped out in front of her. "Okay, Okay. I'll check it out."
Batcher barked out in protest but Omega continued forward, flashlight in hand.
Omega climbed up the rocks further into the cave and she stumbled upon a ship she hadn't seen before. "Where did that come from?" She whispered. She jogged towards the unknown ship and touched the side of it.
Batcher's barking and whining pulled Omega's attention towards the entrance. She saw the Lurca hound backing away from the entrance. "Batcher, where are you going?"
Omega felt the presence of another person. She gasped when she turned around to the person standing in front of her.
