it was the day zeke had been waiting nine months for. a mix of anxiety and happiness flew through his body as he drove to the hospital. you were with your mom when you went into labor, so you agreed to meet zeke at the hospital.

zeke walked in, pulling out his id. "i'm here to see my wife, labor and delievery department?" the woman printed out his sticker happily, and he rushed up the stairs. he was about to meet his little girl.

he knocked on the door, your mom opening it and smiling, greeting him with a quick hug.

there you were, laying in the hospital bed. the doctor was handing you your little girl, the first time you'd ever hold her, touch her, see her.

zeke wasn't even touching her yet but he was already crying. hr knew he was going to do anything and everything to keep this baby girl safe and healthy and happy.

you looked over at your husband, tears of happiness falling down your own cheeks as you were handed your girl. zeke came to your side, staring down at the perfect little girl, your perfect little girl.

"hi chloe." you cooed at the baby, wiping away the tears on your face. you couldn't stop smiling. she was precious.

zeke's heart fell into his stomach, a mix of happiness and shock.

you and zeke had debated different names for months, but you decided you'd wait until the baby got there to settle. when he heard what you called her, he practically choked on his sob.

"zeke, do you want to hold her?" you asked your husband, holding his hand. he nodded a simple yes, gently taking the baby in his arms.

"hi, honey." he rocked her back and forth in his arms. she looked like a perfect mix of the two of you. she had zeke's eyes, that was for sure. "i promise, i'm never going to let anyone hurt you." he whispered to the little girl.

your heart melted at the sight, you've known for a long time that zeke would be a perfect father, and here he was.

this baby girl couldn't have gotten luckier.
