Summary: JJ gets in a fight with his father and the reader cleans him up.

Warnings: Slight blood, mild abuse, fluffiness
JJ stumbles into the chateau all bloody and bruised, and you rush to your boyfriend's aid.
"Baby, what happened," you ask, grabbing the first-aid kit from the bathroom.
"My father. He, he was drunk and started beating on me," JJ mumbles.
"JJ, you need to get away from him," you say, wiping the blood from his lip.
"Every time I try, I can't bring myself to leave. I grew up in that house. I've lived there my whole life."
"You stay at my house or the chateau more, though."
"I know, but-"
"No buts. Once you're cleaned up, we're going to your house. You're gonna pack a bag and come stay with me and Pope."
He nods in agreement and lets you finish cleaning his face. As you dress his wounds, he notices things he never noticed before; The way your nose twitches at the smell of hydrogen peroxide, the way your lips move ever so slightly, and the way your eyes show how much you care.
"Why do you care so much," he asks, after a few moments of silence.
"What do you mean?"
"No one has ever shown this much care to me. Not even my mother," he chokes out.
"You're my boyfriend and my brother's best friend. Even if we weren't dating, I'd still do this. I don't like seeing people hurting."
He chokes out a sob and you set the cotton ball on the counter before pulling him into a hug. You run a finger through his hair to calm him. A few minutes go by before you separate.
"Look at me," you say, taking his chin between your thumb and index finger.
He looks at you with tears in his eyes.
"I love you, alright? I will always care for you," you tell him, pecking his lips.
"I love you, too."
