Adam glanced up at the time on his computer and closed the file on his desk. He knocks on Voight's door and the sergeant tells him to come in.
"What's up, Ruzek?"
"I'm still good to have the afternoon off, right?"
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow."
Adam gathers his things as Jay and Hailey walk up the stairs.
"Where are you off to," Hailey asks.
"I'm meeting my girlfriend," Adam answers.
"Where are you meeting your imaginary girlfriend," Jay jokes.
"I'm meeting her at the Friends of Firefighters picnic. Swing by later and maybe I'll let you meet her."
Adam leaves and gets in his truck. He drives to your apartment to pick you up. You showered this morning and did your hair and makeup after lunch. When Adam texted that he was leaving, you started getting dressed.

Adam texted you that he was outside your building and you went down.
"Voight let you out with no trouble," you ask, getting in the truck.
"Yeah. Jay's the only one who gives me trouble when it comes to us meeting up," he replies, kissing your lips.
"Since you're meeting my crew today, when will I meet your team?"
"I told them to swing by the picnic if they have time."
He parks in the lot next to the park and you walk over to the table your crew was sitting at.
"Hey, guys," you say when you reach the table.
"I didn't know Ruzek was a firefighter," Cruz jokes.
"He's not. He's my boyfriend."
"Since when," Severide asks.
"About eleven months ago," Adam says.
"Baby, you know most of the crew, right," you ask your boyfriend.
"Yeah, in passing."
You talk with the girls while the guys give Adam the protective older brothers talk. About two hours later, the Intelligence Unit walks over to your group.
"Hey, Y/N. My team just arrived," Adam tells you.
"I'll be right back," you say, leaving your conversation with Matt and Kelly.
You walk over to Adam as his team comes over.
"So, she's real," Jay asks, looking at you.
"I'm very much real, Halstead," you reply.
"She's sassy. I love her," Hailey exclaims.
"Guys, this is Y/N. Babe, that's Sergeant Voight, Jay, Hailey, Kim, and Kevin."
"It's great to meet you finally," you tell them.
"Likewise," Kim says, Atwater nodding in agreement.
"Ruzek's told us a lot about you," Voight tells you.
