Summary: Seven years after you left home, you visit your sister at the firehouse.

You left home when you were 16 after your parents tried to arrange your marriage. You didn't want that, so you left while your sister was at the fire academy. Without telling her. You're now 23 and you moved to Austin three weeks ago. You knew your sister was working at the AFD but didn't know which house. At least that was the case until you saw videos of Marjan calling out a bunch of kids during a call. That was when you saw she was with the 126. So, you decided to visit her today. You park across the street and walk into the station, over to the person at the ambulance.

"Can I help you," he asks.

"Yeah, I'm looking for Marjan Marwani," you say.

"Yeah. She's here. Follow me."

You follow him upstairs to the bunk room and you see your sister talking with someone on the bunk opposite hers.

"Hey, Marj. You got a visitor," he says.

Marjan looks over and narrows her eyes at you.

"You. Locker room. Now," she says with gritted teeth.

You follow your sister into the locker room and brace for impact.

"What the hell are you doing here," she screeches.

"Hey, Marj. Hi, Y/N, how've you been? I've been better. Aw, what's wrong, baby sis?"

"Why are you here?"

"First off, I missed you, too. Second, I live in Austin now. Third, I wanted to apologize for leaving without a word."

"I hadn't heard from you in seven years, Y/N. Seven years!"

"I know and I'm sorry. Mom and Dad were planning a marriage and I saw what happened with you and Salim. I didn't want that to happen to me."

She takes a breath and sits on the bench.

"A friend sent me a video, asking if it was you in it," you say.

"Which one? I've been going viral since graduation," she balks.

"The ice cream parlor one."

She lets out a chuckle and looks at you.

"I suppose I should let you meet the crew, huh?"

"Please? I moved here to meet your crew and be closer to you."

You head back downstairs and she leads you into the common area.

"Guys, meet my sister, Y/N Marwani," she tells them.

"Hi," you wave.

"That's Paul Strickland, Judd Ryder, Mateo Chavez, TK Strand, Captain Strand, Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega, and Nancy Gillian," she says.

Your eyes land on Nancy and you blush slightly. A few nights later, you joined Marjan at Carlos and TK's place for game night. You were excited because you could only think about Nancy. You follow your sister into the apartment and you sit next to Nancy. After a few rounds of the game, you grab another beer from the kitchen and Nancy follows you. You chat for a few minutes before you ask her something.

"Are you seeing anyone?"

"No, you?" she asks.

"No."

"Do you wanna go out with me?"

"I'd love to," you reply.
