You sat in your dressing room, getting ready for the recital. Your boyfriend and his team insisted on coming to the show. This was your first performance after a near career-ending injury and you were extremely nervous. After the show, you changed out of your costume and made your way to the auditorium the show was in. Your boyfriend and his team stood near the stage and you ran over, jumping into his arms like a koala.
"I'm so proud of you, baby," he mumbles into your neck.
"Thanks for coming, you guys," you say to his team.
"You were stunning in your costume," Kim hugs you, Hailey nodding in agreement
Jay and Adam hand you flowers after you hug everyone else.
"We're going to Molly's to celebrate," Antonio says.
You guys arrive at the bar and you see everyone from Med and Firehouse 51 standing around. Sylvie and Stella come running over to you, squeezing you tightly.
"When Kim sent us pictures of you in that costume," Sylvie squeals.
"And that choreography," Stella gushes.
"Thanks, girls."
You look over and see your best friend sitting with Severide, with a guilty look. Sylvie's gaze follows yours and she sighs.
"He's been beating himself up over this all day," she whispers.
You excuse yourself and walk over to your best friend. Sev congratulates you before making his way to your boyfriend. Matt looks at you and gives a small smile.
"Look, I'm not mad at you for missing the performance. You had work and that comes first," you say, grabbing his hands.
"I know that, but I promised I would be at your first performance after you got cleared," he mutters.
"Kevin bought a DVD copy of the show and I can always come over and give you an impromptu performance."
Kevin makes his way over to you and sits next to you.
"Why don't you and Sylvie come over to our place on Friday and we'll watch the show? Severide and Stella will be there," your boyfriend says, taking a sip of his beer.
"I'm picking up the DVD on Thursday when I head to the studio."
"We'll be there," Matt tells you.
