You had seen the rigs of your boyfriend's firehouse drive by your bakery an hour prior and you smiled. Your boyfriend of six months was doing what he loved. On days he didn't have a shift, he would come in and help out. Jimmy would often take donuts or other baked goods to the house. As the Truck cleans up, Jimmy remembers passing your bakery on the way. He keeps looking in the direction of the building and Casey walks over to the candidate.

"You waiting for someone," he asks.

"Uh, my girlfriend owns a bakery just down the block," the candidate blushes.

"Is that where all those treats come from," the captain asks.

"Yeah, it is."

"Well, go see her."

Jimmy puts the hose in his hands away before running to your bakery.

"What's up with the candidate," Severide asks Casey.

"You know how he brings, like, donuts and cupcakes every so often," he asks the lieutenant.

"Yeah, I do," he replies.

"They come from his girlfriend's bakery. It's right down the block."

The jingle of the bell causes you to look up. You see Jimmy in his gear walk over to the counter.

"Hey, stranger," you say, pecking his lips.

"Hey. We just finished a call and my captain let me come see you," he says, returning the kiss.

"Is that so?"

"Yeah. I kept looking towards the shop and Casey caught me."

"Well, when can I meet your crew," you ask.

The bell jingles again and you look over, seeing a group of firefighters and paramedics in the doorway.

"So, this is where those treats come from, huh, Candidate," Casey asks.

"Yeah. This is Y/N, the owner and my girlfriend," Jimmy replies, wrapping his arms around you.

"Jimmy comes in on his off days and helps out. I let him take the extra batches to the house," you add.

"That's Casey, Severide, Sylvie, Gabby, Cruz, Hermann, Capp, Tony, Ritter, Mouch, Stella, and Chief Boden," Jimmy tells you.

"This is such a cute store," Stella says.

"Thank you."

The computer dings and you glance over to see another order came in.

"Unfortunately, the grind here never stops," you say, moving from Jimmy's grasp.

"How long have you been together," Severide asks as you move about the shop.

"A little over six months," you answer.

"I came in one day and every day after that until I asked her out," your boyfriend says.
