Summary: You're stressed with school.
Pairings: Greg "Mouse" Gerwitz x Girlfriend, Intelligence x Reader
Warnings: Fluff, slight angst

You stared at your textbook, rubbing your temples. You had an early class and your boyfriend of one year was in the bathroom, getting ready for work. You had about two hours before your next class and you were getting started on the previous class's work.

"Hey, you want some coffee," he asks, walking back into the bedroom.

"Yeah, I could go for another cup," you answer, not looking up from the book.

"You want breakfast?"

"Sure."

"Eggs and bacon?"

"That's fine."

He wraps his arms around you from behind and you groan.

"Mouse," you mumble.

"Take a break. You've been working since before I woke up."

You sigh and drop your pen on the desk. He kisses your head and you follow him into the kitchen. You pour more coffee while he pulls out the bacon and eggs. He puts the food on the stove and heads back to the bedroom to get dressed. You cook the food and plate it by the time he comes back.

"So, how much do have to do today," he asks.

"I have a dissertation to write and edit by midnight tonight, and four more classes after breakfast," you tell him.

You were back in Law school and it was stressful.

"That's too much."

"Tell me about it. But this is what I want to do."

Mouse takes his plate back to the kitchen when he's done eating and gets his things for work.

"Text me when you get a break and I'll call you," he says, kissing you.

You kiss back and finish your food. You do two more classes before texting Mouse after the second class. You head into the kitchen for lunch when your phone buzzes and you see a FaceTime request.

"You rarely FaceTime," you say.

"Well, the girls wanted to see you," he replies, moving to fit Hailey and Kim in the frame.

"How's school," Hailey asks.

"Stressful, to say the least."

"How much longer do you have," Kim asks from her desk.

"Two more months, thank the gods."

"Mouse, tell your girlfriend to stop overworking herself," you hear Jay yell.

"It's not that easy, Halstead," you holler back.

You glance at the time on the microwave and sigh.

"I know that look," Mouse says.

"I have another class in 5 minutes."

"I'll check in later, alright?"

"Alright."

"Love you."

"Love you, too."

You hang up and finish your lunch before joining your next class. Mouse texts a couple of times to check on you and you smile. He's been nothing but supportive and understanding ever since you started dating. You finish your last class shortly before Mouse comes home. You work on editing the dissertation you wrote in between classes. Mouse walks into the apartment and hears your music playing in the background. He walks into the office and sees you working. You look up and smile at him.

"Hey, I didn't hear you come in," you say, turning back to your laptop.

"I just got home a few minutes ago," he says, sitting in your beanbag chair.

"I'm almost done if you wanna get dinner."

"I'll just order a pizza and we watch a movie instead of going out."

You nod and he orders the food. You pick a movie after you finish editing your paper and have a chill night.
