Summary: A case in New York reunites you with your best friend and former team.

The call was surprising. Olivia Benson had called you directly, asking for the BAU's help. You told Hotch and he told you to gather the team. The team walked into the conference room and was surprised to find no case files.
"Thought you said there was a case," Morgan asks.
"There is," Hocth says, motioning to you.
"I just received a call from the Manhattan Special Victims Unit. They need our help. The detective who called emailed me the basis of the case. Young women are being targeted, sexually assaulted, and murdered all across the Manhattan area," you say.
"Isn't the SVU your old stomping grounds," Prentiss asks you.
"It is, which is why the call was made to me. Captain Benson and I just got off the phone less than ten minutes ago."
"We'll discuss more on the plane. Wheels up in 30," Hotch says before leaving the room.
The rest of the team follows and you text Amanda.
You: can you do me a favor?
Rollins: what's up
You: don't tell Sonny I'm with the BAU
Rollins: sure thing
You land in New York three hours later and head straight to the precinct. When you get there, you see everyone except Amanda and Sonny.
"Thank you guys for coming," Liv tells you.
"Anything for the team. This is SSAs Aaron Hotchner, Derek Morgan, Jennifer Jareau, Emily Prentiss, David Rossi, and Dr. Spencer Reid. That's Captain Liv Benson, Sergeant Fin Tutuola, and ADA Peter Stone. Detectives Sonny Carisi and Amanda Rollins will be back shortly," you say.
Liv gives you guys the rundown while you wait for Sonny and Amanda to return from talking to the family of the victims. An hour later, Sonny and Amanda return.
"Families couldn't give us anything useful," Sonny says, setting his coat at his desk.
"They typically don't," you say, not looking up from the file in your hands.
Sonny almost gives himself whiplash at how fast he turns his head back to meet your face.
"Wha-what are you doing here," he asks, hugging you.
"I'm with the BAU," you tell him.
He hugs you again and you get back to work. A week later, you close the case and grab drinks with your old and current teams.
