Kelly sat in his quarters and fiddled with the box in his hands. He was proposing to you and he was extremely nervous. Matt walked past the room and noticed.
"Hey, you good," he asks, coming in.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"You nervous about it?"
"Is it that obvious?"
"A little but I felt the same way when I proposed to Hallie, and then again with Dawson."
Kelly sighs and looks at his best friend.
"You got this," Matt says, hitting Kelly's arm.
You had just walked to Intelligence for work when Jay came over to you.
"Lover boy's downstairs, asking for you," he says.
You sigh and stand up.
"Woah, everything alright with you and Sev," Antonio asks.
"Yeah, he's just been acting weird lately," you reply.
You make your way downstairs and see Kelly standing at the front desk.
"Hey, what's up," you ask as he kisses your head.
"Can we talk?"
"Yeah, c'mon."
You take him upstairs and lead him into the break room, shutting the door behind you. You turn around and see Kelly on one knee.
"Kel, what?"
"Y/N, you are the light of my life. Yeah, we've had our ups and downs in our relationship, but you give me a sense of security. I was spiraling before I met you, and when I did, that spiral stopped. Y/N Y/L/N, would you do me the honor of making me the happiest guy in the world and become Y/N Severide?"
Tears slowly start to form as you nod your head.
"Yes, Kelly. Yes."
He picks you up and kisses you passionately before sliding the ring on your finger. He kisses you again before you walk out to your team.
"Why are you all smiles," Ruzek asks.
You stick your hand up and show them the ring. Kim and Hailey squeal and hug you while the guys clap Kelly on the back.
"When did this happen," Hailey asks.
"About five minutes ago," you reply, wiping the few stray tears that lingered.
That night, you went to Molly's and the first thing you noticed was the smug look on Matt's face.
"You knew," you ask the captain when you sit down.
"Kelly told me from day one he was gonna marry you."
You talk for a few minutes before the girls drag you away.
"So, show us," Sylvie squeals.
You stick your hand out and they squeal even louder.
"Kelly was so nervous during shift," Stella says.
"He had been acting weird for two weeks and I was so confused," you tell them.
