A few hours later, Jane and Kai were chasing a lead while you and Jesse picked up your brother and his team from LAX. Marty comes running out of the airport toward you with Kensi in tow.
"Oh, I missed you so much," he says, hugging you.
"I missed you, too. Hey, Kensi."
"Hey, sweetie," she replies.
Callen and Sam walk out a few minutes later.
"Welcome back," you tell them.
"Not what I was hoping to be back for," Callen grumbles.
"Hey, that lead was a dead end," Jesse says, walking over.
You head back to the office where Jane and Kai are waiting for you. You notice the bruise starting to form under Kai's eye.
"What the hell happened," you ask them.
"Guy had a mean right hook," Kai mutters.
"Was it Sokolov," Kensi asks.
"No, another goon," Jane tells her.
"Guys, meet Agents G Callen, Sam Hanna, Kensi Blye, and my brother, Marty Deeks. Everyone, meet Agents Jane Tennant, Kai Holman, and my boyfriend, Jesse Boone," you explain.
"Thanks for the help," Callen says, shaking Jane's hand.
"Not a problem."
Three days later, you caught Sokolov, but you ended up getting shot in the leg. Jesse and Marty rode with you to the hospital and everyone else showed up two hours later.
"She'll be fine. The bullet went straight through," Marty tells Kensi, moving to comfort his girlfriend.
"She's tough. Always has been," Sam remarks.
"Remember the Bryant case," Callen asks.
"She told me about that," Jesse chuckles.
"You picked a real badass to be your girlfriend," Kensi tells him.
"He sure did," you say, catching everyone's attention.
They turn around and see you on crutches. Jesse walks over to you and kisses your head.
"Thank God you're alright," he says.
"You're not getting rid of me that easily. As Kensi said, I'm a badass."
