The address sounded familiar to the PIC but she didn't know why. Violet Makami calling for her shook Sylvie from her stupor and they raced to the scene. When they arrived, Sylvie saw you laying on the ground, clutching your leg and jumped from the rig before Violet even parked.
"What happened," she asked your partner.
"Bastard shot her from behind a door," he replies.
"Hey, Y/N, look at me, baby," Sylvie tells you.
Violet takes care of your leg while you focus on your blonde lover. You wince when Vi puts the gauze on and they load you in the back of the bus. Sylvie and Jay hop in the back while Violet gets in the driver's seat. Will and Natalie are waiting for you when you get to Med.
"Female in her late 20s. One GSW to the leg," Violet tells them.
They take you and Sylvie lets out a breath. She seats in the nearest chair and puts her head in her hands. Jay gives Maggie some more information while Violet comforts your girlfriend. The rest of 51 show up a few minutes later, Casey and Severide pulling Sylvie into a tight hug. Will comes over to them and explains that Connor would be doing surgery to pull the bullet out. Chief Boden took the house out of service for the time being so everyone could be there when you woke up. Three hours later, Connor walks out of the elevator and Sylvie stands up.
"She's out of surgery. She should be awake soon," he says.
Stella stifles a sob while Severide hugs her. The rest of Squad and Truck visibly relax while Casey squeezes Sylvie.
"Can I see her," she asks quietly.
He nods and leads her to your room. She sits next to you and takes your hand. Your eyes open at the contact and she chokes out a sob, causing Connor to come back into the room.
"How are you feeling," he asks.
"Like I got shot in the leg," you groan.
He helps you sit up and Sylvie hugs you tightly.
"I'm not going anywhere, baby," you whisper in her ear as Casey and Severide walk in with Violet and Stella.
