You walk into the 126 with a big smile on your face.
"Can I help you," a deep southern accent asks.
"Yeah, I'm looking for Captain Strand."
"He's upstairs in his office. Follow me."
You follow him upstairs and he knocks on the door. You hear a muffled "Come in" from the other side.
"Cap, you got a visitor."
"Thanks, Judd," he says, closing a folder.
Judd heads back downstairs and Captain Strand motions for you to sit down.
"You must be Y/N Y/L/N. Pleasure," he says.
"It's a pleasure to be here," you reply.
"I've heard quite a bit about you from Paul," he tells you.
"Yeah. Paul's told me a lot about you guys, as well."
He closes your file and gives you a soft look.
"Does he know you're here?"
"Not a clue. I told him I was transferring from Chicago but I didn't say where."
"Let's get you in a uniform and change that, shall we?"
He leads you to the women's locker room so you can change. Ten minutes later, you walk downstairs into the common area and hear Paul telling a story about a call you had before he came to Austin.
"And Y/N comes out, carrying the victim on her back-"
"Like the badass, she is," you finish.
Paul whips his head around and his jaw drops.
"What? When did you transfer to the 126," he asks.
"I told you I was transferring. I wanted to surprise you," you tell him.
He pulls you into a very tight hug and spins you around.
"Uh, well, everyone, meet the famous Y/N Y/L/N. Y/N, that's Marjan Marwani, Nancy Gillian, Mateo Chavez, Judd Ryder, TK Strand, and Captain Tommy Vega."
"Finally, another girl," Marjan yells, with Nancy cheering in agreement.
"It's nice to put a face to a name," TK says, shaking your hand.
"Same to you all. Paul's kept in contact with me since he left Chicago."
That night, you all have a cookout at the Strand house and you meet Tommy's family and Judd's wife, Grace.
