You climb down from the truck and sigh, rubbing your temple. Your boyfriend looks over and you give him a smile.

"Just a small headache," you assure him.

"You wanna lay down in my quarters while I write my report," he asks.

You nod your head and he pulls you in for a hug. You head to his quarters and you lie down on the cot, letting sleep consume you. The house was slow for the rest of the morning, so you got a good few hours of sleep in. The remainder of the afternoon was call after call after call. During the fifteen minutes you were at the station after lunch, you took some ibuprofen, hoping it would help. But with the bells going off every time you sat down, it seemed unlikely. When shift was almost over, you made your way to Matt's quarters for a nap. The truck captain walked onto the apparatus floor, looking for his girlfriend. Kelly gave him a look and mouthed, "Your quarters." Matt opened the door slowly and saw you fast asleep. He gently shut the door and you stirred, rubbing your eyes.

"Hey, sleepy head," he whispers.

"Hi."

"How you feeling?"

"Alright. Just another headache."

"When was the last you took something for it?"

"Around three. It was the heavy-duty stuff."

"How long have the headaches been going on for?"

"Since freshman year of high school. Chronic migraines run in the family," you say quietly.

"Shift's over if you wanna get your things and head out."

You get up slowly and head to the locker room. Sylvie gives you a look and you assure her you're fine. You walk onto the apron and wait for your boyfriend. You see him walk out with Kelly, who gives you a small smile. You throw your bag into the back of Matt's truck and head home. That night, the two of you bowed out of Molly's and stayed home after your headache got really bad. You took some more ibuprofen and went to bed. The next morning, you woke up and felt like your head was rung inside the Liberty Bell. You got up to get ready for your shift but Matt pushed you back into bed.

"I'm off and I told Boden you weren't feeling well," he says, placing some Advil and water on the nightstand.

"You gonna play doctor today," you joke.

"You bet. I'll be downstairs if you need me."

He kisses your head and you fall back asleep after taking the Advil. You wake up again around 12:30 and feel great. You walk downstairs with a smile, causing your boyfriend to do the same when he sees you.

"Someone feels better," he says as you kiss his cheek.

"I need to put that Advil in my locker," you tell him.
