Steve drops his bag next to the door and sees your sleeping figure on the couch. Today's case reminded him of you so much. All of the victims looked just like you and he couldn't stand the thought of you not being in his life. With that in mind, he went and bought a ring, planning on proposing when he got home. He set his keys on the table and you stirred slightly. You sat up and saw your boyfriend standing by the door.
"Hey, how was work," you ask, sitting up.
"Difficult, to say the least."
"Why's that?"
"All the vics looked like you and I couldn't stand the thought of you not being in my life."
"Baby, I'm not going anywhere," you say, walking over to hug him.
"I know, but just to be sure," he says, pulling from the hug.
He gets on one knee and pulls a box from his pocket.
"Steve, what?"
"Y/N, from the moment I met you, I knew you were the one. You helped me through my father's death, everything with my mother and Wofat, you stood by me when I was accused of murdering the governor, everything with Joe, and everything else you've seen me go through. I love you so much. I always have and I always will. Y/N Y/L/N, will you marry me?"
Tears start to form as you nod your head.
"Yes, Steve," you say, kissing him.
He slides the ring on your finger and kisses you again. The following night, the team, plus Grace and Adam, are gathered on the small beach behind the McGarrett house.
"So, what's going on? Why are we all here," Danny asks.
"This week's case made me realize I wouldn't be able to live without Y/N in my life," Steve tells them.
The guys look confused as Grace's and Kono's eyes go wide.
"He asked you," Kono squeals.
You stick your left hand out and show them the ring.
"A pretty ring for a pretty woman," Grace says.
"Hoʻomaikaʻi," Chin tells you.
"Mahalo," you reply.
"You are one lucky bastard. You know that, right," Danny asks Steve.
"Yeah, I knew that from the moment I saw her," he answers, kissing your temple.
