I leaned on the counter watching her cook. It smelt amazing.
"OOOOWWWEEE SOMETHING SMELLS GOOD!!" I heard Ke yell coming into the kitchen
"Okayyy Ms. Winter whipping in the kitchen..."
Winter laughed.
"When did you come home??" I asked
"Earlier when you were sleeping..." she said
"How you doing??"
"I'm doing much better and feeling better than I was earlier..."
"This one made sure of that..." I said softly pulling the hem of Winter's pants making her smile
"Y'all are so cute..." I heard Arya say
"Thank you..." Winter and I said at the same time
We talked with them for a while before they headed to the front room.
"That smells amazing..." I said hugging her from behind
"I know. I can't wait to chow down on some..." she said
"I bet. Ain't eating nun all day..." I said
"I said I was sorry..." she said and I could tell she was pouting
"And I forgive you, but I can't stop thinking about it..." I said
She cut the stove off. She turned around.
"It won't happen again..." she said
"Better not..." I said pulling her to me and making her smile
"The food is done..." she said
"I figured..." I said
"So what we gone do tonight??" She asked
"What you got in mind??" I asked
"Movies, maybe. I can't be up too late cuz I have a meeting to attend in the morning..." she said
"Me either cuz I have work..."
"What time is the meeting??" I asked
"At 8..."
"I won't be up..." I said
"What time you get up??" She asked
"10:30..." I said
"I have the noon shift. From 12 to 6, sometimes 6:30. Depends on how many packages and shit I have..."
"I thought my house was the last house??" She asked
"It is, but y'all's neighbor is almost an hour away from the post office..." I said
"I didn't know that..." she said
"You've never been to the post office??" I asked
"No, normally I get my package through the mail or if it does gotta get picked up Clark does
it..." she said
"He does everything for you, doesn't he..." I said
She looked off and bit her bottom lip. She turned back around and stirred in the pot.
"Can you tell them the food is ready??" She asked softly
"Can you turn back around??" I asked
She was still stirring in the pot.
"Please..." I said placing my hand on her hip
She slowly turned around and looked at me.
"That came out the wrong way..." I said
"I know when it comes to adult things I don't know how to do anything..." she said
"That's not what I meant..." I said. Looking at her
