I have been unhappy for a year. My husband had forgotten all about me. One day, I met this annoying mail woman whom I oddly found a liking in over time. One night, it was raining and I invited her in. Since that night, I got to have her.

"Hey, Mom..." Ke said getting in the inside the booth
"KeAriel..." she said making Ke sigh cuz she likes to be called Ke and her mom knew that
"Kiesha..." I said nodding toward her
"Kassidy why are you here??" She asked irritated
"For your child that you put on the street whom I have taken in..." I said looking at her
"She doesn't need a bodyguard..." she says
"Dealing with your crazy ass you never know..." I said lowly but made sure she heard me
She gasped.
"Mom what did you want to talk about??" Ke asked
"About leaving. You know I'm struggling with the bills. I could use your help. Come back home..." she said
I gave her a confused look then looked at Ke. Ke has a soft spot for her mom and I knew it. She'll do anything for her. But, she needs to realize her mom only buttering her up to come back home to keep Ke's cash coming in so she can get it.
"No, she's not coming..." I said making both of their heads snap in my direction
"She's my daughter, not yours..." Keisha said
"You only want her back home to use her for her money. Then when you get caught up on your bills you are ready to kick her out. It's been 2 months that she's been living with me. Yesterday was the first time in 2 months that she has heard from you. You didn't even call to see if she was okay, did she have a place to stay or nothing. You only want her around when it's convenient for you. She's not some bitch on the street, she's your fucking child. You doing this cuz you know she's soft when it comes to you. She loves you too much to let you go through this, but you gotta learn. So, No. She will be going back home with me..." I said
"Don't you e-..." she started
"STOP!!" Ke yelled at us
"Kass is right. This is the first time in 2 months you called. And it wasn't to see how I was doing. It was for money. Mom I love you with every bone in me, but I have to set boundaries. I can't help you anymore. I pay bills where I stay. Since I'm not staying with you, I can't pay your bills. I hope you can understand that..." Ke said while looking at her
Her mom cursed us both out LOUDLY before storming out. Ke sat with her hand on her head. I grabbed her shoulder which was the farthest to me and pulled her closer.
"It's going to be okay. You set your boundary and that's when everything falls into place. I know you love your mom and I know you hate to see her struggle. But you can't continue to let her use you..." I said
She was silent for a while. She lifted up and looked at me.
"You're right..." she said softly "Thanks..."
She hugged me.
"Anytime..." I said smiling
"Now. You want food, it's on me..." she said looking at me
"It's on you??" I asked looking at her
"It's on me..." she said laughing
"Don't mind if I do..." I said getting on the other side of the booth across from her
____________ THE WEEKEND
The weekend finally rolled around and it's Saturday. I did get called into work yesterday so Lilian and I pushed us to hang out today. I was currently getting ready. Ke was gone to Arya's for the weekend. She left Thursday night.
I had music playing as I got ready. I put on some slight. Light jeans with holes at the knee. I had on a short sleeve white button up with my chest slightly out. I had on my white Alexander McQueen and my gold accessories to bring it all together. For my hair, I refreshed it and lift it in its curly state not doing too much to it. I sprayed on some cologne and slid my wallet into my pocket. I grabbed my keys and headed out. I put the restaurant into my GPS and headed there. I made it there around 7:56. I parked and I could see Lilian sitting down. She was fixing herself up. Making her boobs sit up more, fluffing her hair out, and putting on more lipstick. Can't lie, she looked amazing.
I got out and headed in. I walked in, told them I was with her, then headed to the table. She stood up as I made my way to the table.
"Hey..." she said smiling
"Wassup..." I said as we hugged
"You smell amazing..." she said as we pulled away
"You look amazing..." I said making her blush
"Thanks..." she said smiling
The waiter came and got our drink orders. She and I were talking and getting to know each other.
She's been working at the post office for 6 years. The post office is actually owned by her grandfather who will be passing it on to her. She has 3 kids. 20, 18, and 16 years old. Her husband of 16 years passed away 3 years ago. She has two dogs.
We talked more ova food. I can actually say I was really enjoying her. She's cool, but I can only see us as friends nothing more.
After dinner, we stayed for a bit longer still talking. She's very good at holding conversations and talking. Time was going by fast and before you know it, it was about 1 and the restaurant was ready close. She ended up paying. She said she invited me so it was only right. We grabbed our things and headed out.
"I really enjoyed you tonight Kass..." she said smiling and looking at me
"Likewise, you ate a very good conversation holder..." I said making her laugh
"I hope we can do this again soon..." she said
"That can definitely be arranged. Just let me know..." I said
"I will. Goodnight..." she said hugging me
"Goodnight. Drive safe..." I said looking down at her
"I will..." she said softly
We pulled away, I opened her car door, she got in, and I closed it back. She started her car as I walked to mine. I got in and she pulled off waving. I waved back and headed home.
