Kassidy and I were lying in the bed. I was watching Law & Order at the bottom of the bed while she was on her phone at the top of the bed. She was giving me a foot massage.
"Pretty Lady..." she called me
"Hmmm..." I responded still looking at the tv
"Let's have a kid..." she said making me look back at her
I paused the TV and sat up.
"Huh!?" I said looking at her
"You want to have a baby??" She asked
"Yes..." I said smiling
"Let's have a baby..." she said
"Kassidy don't fuck with me..." I said looking at her with a wide smile
"I'm not..." she said smiling
I screamed in excitement before jumping on her. I hugged her tightly as tears made their way into my eyes.
I've always wanted to be a mom. To love, cherish, and support my child. I always wanted to know what that motherly love feels like. Just thinking about having a kid makes me so happy cuz this is something I've always wanted to do.
Kassidy and I haven't really gotten into talking about having a child. Just that lil conversation after Lilian's situation, but that was all. I'm so happy that she wants a kid with me. I'm in a good space, I'm stable and I'm in love. So having a kid was perfect. I've dreamed of this.
"Pretty Lady..." she said softly rubbing my back
I was crying in her neck cuz I was so happy.
After a few, I got myself together and sat up. She wiped my tears with a smile.
"I'm sorry..." I said wiping her neck
"It's okay..." she said before pecking my lips
"I'm just so happy. I'm getting the opportunity again to be a mom..." I said as more tears came
She grabbed me and pulled me into a hug. She was rubbing my body comforting me.
"This time we gone do it right..." she said before kissing my forehead
I nodded with a smile.
God has sent someone he knew I needed. I'm in love with my life right now. This happiness is undeniable. The way I get treated is amazing. The way she makes me feel feels so surreal. The words she says I still get butterflies. This is a high that I never ever wanna come down from.
We laid there and held each other for a long while. I sat up and looked at her.
"How do we start the process??" I asked
"First we have to see how we are going to get sperm. IVF or getting someone close that we know that can..." she said
"What do you think??" I asked
"I would want to do it with someone we know and are comfortable with..." she said
"Yeah, I think so too..." I said nodding my head in agreement "Do you have anyone in mind??"
"My baby daddy..." she said making me laugh
"And who is that!?" I asked still laughing
"Why are you laughing??" She asked smiling
"Cuz I didn't know you had baby daddies already lined up..." I said
"First off it's just one..." she said as we laughed "His name is Lotus. He and I have been friends for a long time. I just connected with him not too long ago. He works at the post office with me..."
"Was he the one on the phone that day you came in and I thought someone was breaking in??" I asked
"Yes..." she said laughing
"That was not funny..." I said playfully pushing her "But how you know he'll agree to that..."
"Cuz we made a promise..." she said looking at me
"Which was??" I asked
"When I came out to him, he was asking about how I was going to have kids. So I told him he was going to be the father of my kids. But we promised that If I ever wanted a kid, he was going be the one to donate..." she said making me laugh a lil more
"But y'all were young when y'all made that promise. How do you know if it still stands??" I asked
"We took promises very seriously..." she said
"Seriously??" I asked
"Yeah..." she said nodding
"Before we do this, I have to meet him. Feel him out cuz I needed to know if this is the right choice for us. You may trust him but I need to be sure..." I said
"Yes, of course. We were going to do that anyway. We aren't going to just jump head first in this thing. We need to plan, build trust in all parties involved, and everything will go smooth..." she said
"Thank you for understanding..." I said kissing her
"Always, Pretty Lady..." she said smiling
"So, how are we going to bring this topic up to him outta the blue..." I said
"I will talk to him first just to see where he's at with it. If he's okay with it then we can make arrangements for you two to meet each other..." she said
"Okay..." I said nodding
"I'm so happy..." I said smiling lying against her
"I'm glad I can be the reason you're happy..." she said rubbing my arm and kissing my forehead
"I am too..." I said smiling
I pressed play on Law & Order and we started watching that. I had a smile on my face that couldn't be wiped off. I was so happy. I couldn't fathom the happiness I've experienced since she came into my life. This is all I've ever been looking for, especially in a partner.
