I woke up and stretched. I got up went to the bathroom, did my business, and started brushing my teeth. I walked into the room, grabbed my phone off the charger, and headed back to the bathroom. I had a text from Kassidy and Harlow. Harlow needed me to call him immediately, it was urgent. I finished quickly before calling him.

"Winter!!" He answered immediately

"Good Morning Harlow..." I said leaning on the sink

"Darling, it's not looking good..." he said

"Wh-what's wrong??" I asked

"You're bank account has been frozen. Both you and Clark's account has been frozen..." he said

"Harlow, what you mean frozen??" I asked confused

"I sent the divorce notice in to get it notarized before sending it out. Then all of sudden I get the email that y'all's accounts have been frozen until the divorce is finalized or dismissed..." he said
"No money can go into or out of it..."

"Harlow I can't do that. The money to get my apartment is in there. My money for my necessities is in there. Harlow that's all my money..." I said

"Darling I would do whatever I can, but it's no guarantee that I can do anything..." he said

"What the fuck!! How does something like this even happen? How the fuck do I suppose to eat or go to work with no money to do shit..." I said

"Give me an hour, I'll see what I can do..." he said

I hummed before hanging up. I ran my hand through my hair before looking up. Clark was standing at the bathroom door with a grin.

"What the fuck did you do??" I asked

"How do you figure I did something??" He asked with the same grin

"Clark this is NOT FUCKING FUNNY..." I said pushing him
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!? I'VE WORKED HARD FOR MY MONEY! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!"

"You say you're not dumb, but you failed to take my name off everything you call "yours." I own everything you have, why? cuz my name is on it. The way I see it, I own you. If you leave today, you can't take anything with you. No car, no money, no nothing. You're very dumb to be so smart. I mean how dumb you think I am..." he said smiling

"WHY YOU TRYNA KEEP ME HERE! YOU DON'T LOVE ME OR OWN ME! YOU'RE DOING THIS TO BE SPITEFUL BUT IT'S MAKING YOU LOOK DELUSIONAL AND GUILTY! WHY CANT YOU JUST LET ME LEAVE AND JUST STOP THIS USELESS BULLSHIT!!"
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME! I'VE DONE EVERYTHING FOR YOU, ONLY TO GET FUCK OVA AT THE END! NOW THAT I'M STRONG ENOUGH TO LEAVE YOU WANNA DO THIS. FUCK YOU CLARK!!"
"YOU'RE SUCH A BIT-..."

Before I could finish, he pushed me against the wall and gripped my face. I tried pushing him off me but he wouldn't budge.

"Gone ahead Winter, leave. Leave and you'll have nothing. No car, no money, and no place to live. You thought you could just run off with everything and go live with another Nigga. You need me, Winter. You don't have the skill to live on your own and I made sure of that..." he said as tears fell down my face
"I molded you into this helpless woman who relies on me for everything. You don't even know where the place to pay the fucking lights or where to even pick up the damn mail. You don't know shit. Why, cuz I do EVERY FUCKING THING FOR YOU!! Why would you wanna give that up??"

I didn't say anything back. I just looked into his eyes as he held my face. He just laughed in my face as I cried.

I tried getting outta his grip but he wouldn't move.
