A WEEK LATER

I've been spending off my card all week and today is the day I'm starting the process of moving my money to my own account that he can't get into.

Clark was at work and I got the driver to take me to the bank. I got to the bank and Harlow's wife, Carol, was waiting at the front and took me to the back. Carol is a stay-at-home mom who owns a bank. She doesn't have to come to work cuz either way it goes she's getting paid. As soon as we went I go the office it was business. The first thing I did was open my very own account that only I can access. I went back to the front and took enough money for my apartment, couches, and bed for now. I took the money out of my old account and put it into the new account.

"Once you are ready to move all the money into this account let me know. But we are going to need his signature somehow. I would do it without it, but I'm not tryna get sued so I have to go by the book..." she said

"I can get him to sign papers. Just give me a paper about us doing a joint account. He isn't going to read it all so just stick that paper in there so he can sign it..." I said

"You know just how to get him..." she said smiling

"And do..." I said

We talked a bit as she printed out the papers. I headed back home. On the way home, Clark texted saying he wanted to talk. I already knew how I was going to play this. I made it home and decided to cook. I haven't had spaghetti for a while so I started cooking it.

After like 2 hours, I heard Clark pull up. I got myself ready to act my ass off. I was still facing the stove when he walked in and slammed the door. I turned around and looked at him as he made his way into the kitchen.

"What's wrong with you??" I asked before cutting the stove off

"Why did you take that much money out of the bank account??" He asked

"What??" I asked acting confused

"All the damn money you took out your account Winter. Don't act confused. What do you need that much money for??" He asked

"I can't tell you but just know it's something good..." I said smiling

"WINTER!!" He yelled slapping his hand against the island making me jump a lil
"What's the money for??"

I put on the best sad face.

"I wanted to do something for us from a few months from now. I was going to be the one who paid for everything so we could enjoy ourselves. Now I'm being yelled at cuz I wanted to do something nice..." I said with tears in my eyes
"But I'll cancel it..."

"No, you don't have to cancel it Baby..." he said walking up to me

"No, it's okay. I'll cancel and put the money back..." I said grabbing my phone and pretending I was going to cancel some

He grabbed the phone out of my hand and put it on the island.

"You don't have to do that. I just wanted to know what you were using it for..." he said

"It was supposed to be a surprise now it's ruined..." I said and he pulled me to him

"I'm sorry. I just saw that money had been taken out and my mind went crazy. I'm sorry..." he said looking at me

"Mmhmm..." I said getting out of his grip
"I cooked spaghetti have some..."

"Don't be like that..." he said

"You kinda ruined my surprise so..." I said shrugging my shoulders

I acted mad for the rest of the night to make him feel bad. Which was a success and I'm going shopping tomar🤪
