I read Winter's text. I got up from the edge of the bed where I was sitting. Lilian raised up while looking at me.
"Where you going??" She asked
"I'm going to make a phone call..." I said before leaving the room
I went out the front door and called Winter while sitting in my car. It rang a few times before she answered.
"Hello..." she answered
"Winter what are you talking about??" I asked
"Did you read the text??" She asked
"Of course, I read the text. Where is all this coming from??" I asked
"Well, I've been feeling like that for a while. Today after you cancelled our plans I couldn't hold it in anymore. So I told you how I felt..." she said
"Winter you know this girl just lost her mom. I'm the only person that she close with that had experienced the same thing so I gotta be there for her..." I said
"And what about me??" She asked
"What do you mean??" I asked
She sighed before chuckling.
"Never mind. You don't have to worry about coming here after you leave her, you can go home. Bye..." she said before hanging up
I took the phone from my ear and called her back twice but she didn't answer. I got out of the car and went back into the house.
"Lilian..." I said making her open her eyes and look at me
"I gotta go..." I said
"Why??" She asked
"I got something to do. But I'll call you later..." I said
"Okay..." she said softly
"And don't forget to take your meds..." I said and she nodded
I grabbed my things and I left. I got in my car and headed to Winter's house. It didn't take long to get there, I pulled in, scanned the key card then the gates opened. I drove in and pulled in beside her when I got to her side of the parking lot. I got out of the car, grabbed my stuff, and headed up. I got to the door and opened it with my key. When I walked in she was leaving out the kitchen. She looked at me and then proceeded to walk down the hall to the room. I locked the door and then threw my keys and wallet on the kitchen table. I walked down the hall with her. I walked into the room and she was sliding on her sleeping clothes. She got in bed and turned on the TV without even looking at me.
"So you don't see me standing here??" I asked looking at her
"Could've sworn I asked you not to come here..." she said
