2 weeks ago, Lilian's mother had passed away. Kassidy and I have tried to be there as friends. She and Kassidy could connect more on that level because Kassidy had also lost her mother. While I completely understand that, I'm having trouble with the fact how close they've become. Not only do they work together but they spend time together after work even on off days. I'm trying to be understanding but ion like it.
Kassidy's birthday was in about 3 weeks and I was planning on doing something special for her. With the help of Arya and Ke, of course. Since her birthday was on a weekday, I decided to just cook for her and decorate. I didn't know if I wanted to decorate my house or her house. I didn't know, but I needed to figure it out. Anyway, I decided since I was off, I was going to go gift shopping for her. She didn't really ask or want anything so shopping was gone be a bit difficult.

After 2 and a half hours of shopping, I got a few things. I got a few different fast food gift cards cuz she does eat out on days she doesn't get lunch from home. I bought her 2 outfits and a hat. I ended up going to Ulta to get her the hair care things she had been wanting to try. I also got her more of her 2favorite colognes cuz she was running out. I didn't spend too much but I bought a lot.
After that, I went to get me some to eat cuz I was hungry. I got some Canes and went home. I put all her gifts in the guest room closet at the top cuz she be all ova my house. That's the only place she really doesn't go.
She was going to be staying at home tonight cuz she had to work early this week and my house was slightly far from her job. I've been at her house for days but tonight I was staying home. My house needed some TLC, lately, I've come to get clothes and leave. Stuff in the fridge has gone bad and all.
Before cleaning my house, I did take a Power nap for about an hour and a half. Then, I got up and started cleaning. I turned on music and started from the back making my way to the front. By the time I made it to the kitchen, I was tired. I took a 45-minute break. On that break, I called Kassidy, but she didn't answer. Looked at her location and she was at home. Had to be asleep or in the shower. I decided to call her a lil later. I got up and started in the kitchen. 2 glasses of wine got me through that kitchen. I put my trash on the side of my door outside so that in the morning I could take it out.
After that, I was back hungry. I looked to see what I had to work with. I decided on some hamburger sliders with some fries. I cooked that and cleaned my kitchen back up after I was done. I poured myself some more wine before going to the kitchen table to eat.
While sitting there, I decided to call Kassidy back. It rang for a minute before I decided to hang up. But before I did she answered with a towel on her shoulder and hair wet.
"Wassup, Pretty Lady..." she said looking at me
"Hey..." I said waving with a smile
"What you up to??" She asked
"Nothing, just got done cleaning now I'm eating..." I said
"What you eating??" She asked
"Burger sliders and fries..." I said
"That sounds good..." she said
"Want to meet me so you can get some??" I asked
"No, I got some left ova pizza from earlier. I'm eating that cuz I don't wanna waste it..." she says making me nod
"You saw Lilian today??" I asked
"I saw her a few minutes before leaving work..." she said
"How is she, I texted her and she ain't responded yet..." I said
"She seemed fine but I can't tell she still isn't..." she said
"I understand..." I said nodding
We ended up talking for the rest of the night. I showered and everything while we still were on the phone. We ended up falling asleep on the phone.
______ A WEEK LATER
It's the weekend, Kassidy and I had plans cuz we haven't seen each other much in these last two weeks. But, I ended up getting blown off cuz Lilian had a breakdown. We've been planning this date since last weekend and I just get pushed to the side. Which has me completely upset.
Anyways, Scott decided to come chill with me. We haven't hung out in a while. We talked a lot but just didn't see each other. He had ordered food for us and he was on the way. We decided to just watch scary movies, catch up, and chill.
After like 25 minutes, he called to let him in the gate. I opened it for him and unlocked my door so he could come straight in. Once he came in, he put everything on the table and gave me the best hug.
"Oh my god, I missed you..." I said shaking him and making him laugh
"I missed you too..." he said smiling
We sat out the food and I got us some to drink out of the fridge. We sat at the kitchen table and started eating.
"How have you been??" I asked
"I've been good, honestly. I gotta raise at work, still a gym rat, and eat healthy. Well except right now..." he said before biting into his chicken making me laugh
"How are you and Zeke??" I asked
"Oh, we've been amazing. He has officially moved in with me like 3 months ago..." he said
"That's good. No wonder why your ass has been put up..." I said making him laugh
"What can I say? I get to come home to my man. A home-cooked meal and everything..." he said
"Awww I'm so happy for y'all..." I said sincerely cuz I am
"How have you been? How's you and your lady??" He asked
"I've been good, life couldn't be any better. Kassidy and I are good, I guess..." I said
"What you mean you guess??" He asked
"You know Lilian's mom has passed away. So, she and Kassidy connect on that level because they have gone through something similar. But Scott they spend a lot of time together. I'm trying to be understanding, but it's like y'all are spending too much time together. Like today we were supposed to chill and go on a date. Lilian has a breakdown and she couldn't make it..." I said
"Have you voiced this to her??" He asked
"No. Lilian said Kassidy is the only person who understands and who she can talk to so I don't wanna take that from her while she going through her grief..." I said
"While I understand what you are saying, she shouldn't neglect you cuz they connect on that level. Kass needs to learn how to balance it out. You also need to voice this to her. How she's going to know you're feeling some type of way if you ain't saying nothing..." he says
"I know but I'll feel bad..." I said
"Feel bad for telling your woman you wanna spend time with her..." he said while looking at me confused
"No, taking Kassidy away from Lilian when she is her safe haven right now..." I said
"Lilian has to understand that Kass is in a relationship. She can't take all her time. She can't just call and Kass comes running cuz Kass has a woman to attend to. Put them in a group and let them know what you feel or text separately..." he said
I nodded while eating just thinking.
Scott and I ended up watching 2 scary movies then watched a comedy after. In the middle of the 4th movie, Harlow called him cuz they needed help so he had to leave. We hugged and said our goodbyes. I cleaned up and after I decided to text Kassidy. I sent the message just telling her how I know that they connect on a different level but I don't appreciate how much time they spend together. How I feel some type of way for getting put off so she can go to her, etc.
