Today Kassidy and I were on the way to the hospital. A month ago and a half we did the at-home insemination. I've been having slight pregnancy symptoms but not much. I've been taking at-home pregnancy tests but they are all coming back negative except one of them. So, we made an appointment to get a second opinion to see if I was pregnant.
We made it to the doctor and we told them the name. I signed a few papers and then went into the waiting room waiting to be called. About 10 minutes later, my name was called and we went into the back. We were taken into the room at the bottom of the hall. They asked a few questions before checking my vital signs then that nurse left and told us the doctor would be in there in a few.
After like 15 minutes, the doctor came in. I told her about what was going on and explained our concerns. I gave urine and blood. She got that from me and we had to wait for the results.
"I'm so fucking nervous..." I said looking at Kassidy
She smiles softly before grabbing my hand.
"It's going to be okay. If it doesn't go as planned we can always try again..." she said
"Yeah..." I said while my legs shook
Kassidy placed her other hand on my thigh and my leg slowly stopped.
"Thank you..." I said and she nodded smiling
"How are we going to break the news to everyone??" She asked
"I don't know. I never really gave that a thought..." I said honestly
"Maybe when we get our first ultrasound we can send them a picture of it as a surprise..." she said
"I like that..." I said smiling
"Then we'll do that..." she said and I nodded
We continued waiting and then the doctor came in with a clipboard. She sat down in the chair and turned to us.
"So, we have a bit of an issue..." she said
"What's wrong??" Kassidy asked
"Well we ran the test three times. 2 came back negative and 1 came back positive. Which has never happened before..." she said
"Yes, the tests at home a few were coming back negative and one was positive..." I said
"So, what I think is we are going to have you come back in two weeks. I will have you see me personally so we can do the test over, maybe will get an answer..." she said and I nodded
She turned around to the computer and scheduled me for the next two weeks. She turned around.
"You guys are free to go, stop by the front to get your appointment date and I'll see y'all next time..." she said
"Thank you..." Kassidy said standing up and helping me off the bed
"Thank you and see you in two weeks..." I said as we walked out
We went to the front, got the papers and my appointment date then left. We got in the car.
"Hungry??" Kassidy asked
"Not really..." I said looking out the window
She placed her hand on my thigh and grabbed my face turning it to her.
"I know it's frustrating, but everything going to be okay. We gotta think positive about this..." she said
"How can I think positive when it's been almost 2 whole months since we did it and yet they can't tell if I'm pregnant or not..." I said looking at her
"We gotta have faith that what we want will happen. Even if it doesn't come out the way then we can always try again..." she said
"What if we keep trying and trying, then it never happens??" I asked
"We have other options like adoption or surrogacy. It's ways we can have our kid. Whatever happens, we are going to have our baby..." she said looking into my eyes "Okay??"
"Okay..." I said back with a small smile
She leaned in and kissed me. She pulled away and kissed my forehead.
"Let's go get some to eat..." I said making her laugh
"What you wanna eat??" She asked
"I don't know, something good..." I said looking at her smiling
She popped my mouth and shook her head.
"I want Mexican food..." I said
"Okay..." she said before starting the car
We were riding for about 20 minutes before she pulled into a Santa Fe. We parked, she opened my door and we went inside. We were seated in like 6 minutes. We were seated and ran up on Ke and Arya. We ended up going where they were and sitting beside them.
"I ain't seen y'all in forever..." I said hugging them "How y'all been??"
"We have been good. Y'all ass been MIA what's that about??" Ke said looking at us
"Nothing just been enjoy each other..." Baby said smiling at me
"Mmhmm..." Arya said looking at us with squinting eyes
"What!?" I asked laughing
"Let me find out..." Arya said
"Find out what, nosy hoe??" I asked
She side-eyed me making me laugh again.
"What y'all been up to??" Ke asked
"Working and home..." Kassidy said while looking at the menu
"Y'all ordered y'all's food yet??" I asked
Ke nodded while Arya shook her head.
"Is it yes or no cuz Arya nodding and you shaking your head??" Kassidy asked making me chuckle
"We have ordered our food..."Ke she looking at Arya
"I didn't process the question, my fault..." Arya said making us laugh
We ordered our drinks and food together. We talked and laughed the whole while. It felt so good to do this with them. We used to be around each other all the time when I was always at Kassidy's house. These last few months we haven't seen them. Ngl I missed these heffas.
