I went home before the rain started back. I walked in and Ke was balled up on the couch under a blanket. She looked up before pausing the movie she was watching.
And here goes the questions.
"Where have you been??" She asked sitting up
"You're supposed to be home. You know how I get when it storms..."
"I know. I'm sorry, but the truck stopped working. I was held back..." I said sitting on the couch with her
"Where we're stuck at cuz your location wasn't popping up??" She asked
"At a neighborhood, where I deliver at..." I said
"What was wrong with it??" She asked
"Hell if I know, Winter called somebody to look at it..." I said
"Who is Winter??" She asked
"The lady I deliver to..." I said and she nodded
"What you ate??"
"Arya got me some pizza delivered here. It's more in the kitchen if you want some..." she said and I nodded
I was sitting on the couch watching tv with her for like 20 minutes before I headed to the shower. I showered and got out. I slipped on a tee shirt, some briefs, and some black shorts. I threw my uniform in the dirty clothes basket and went into the kitchen. The pizza was sitting on the stove so I grabbed 3 pieces and put them into the oven. While that heated up, I went to wake Ke up so she could go lay down. I waited for a lil longer before taking it out and sat in the front as I ate. After eating, I drank a bottle of water and called it a night.

A WEEK LATER
I have yet to get a call or text from Winter, but I wasn't stressing about it. I know what we did was something to take in so I was giving her time. I do see her when I'm delivering to her house. She'll say hey but it wasn't more than that.
I was currently loading up the mail truck when I saw Lilian coming from the inside.
"Hey..." she said coming up to me
"Wassup..." I said with a small smile
"Nothing much. How about you??" She asked
"Loading this truck. Bout to get a bit of an early start on my route..." I said
"Your truck should be back and as good as new in the next 2 weeks..." she said
"Yeah, cuz I miss Buffy..." I said
"You named your truck??" I asked laughing a lil
"Yes. You don't have names for your cars and shit??" I asked
"No..." she said laughing more
"Aww come on. It makes the relationship between you and your car better..." I said smiling
"What's your car's name??" She asked
"Wolfie..." I said
"That's cute..." she said smiling
"Thanks. Came up with it myself..." I said
"What my car name should be??" She asked
I thought about it for a while.
"I think it should beeeee Snow..." I said before looking at her
"What do you think??"
"It's cute. And also my car is white so it goes great with it. Snow it is..." she says smiling hard
"And you're welcome..." I said putting the last box in the truck
"Thanks..." she said
"But I actually came out here to ask you a question..."
"Shoot..." I said
"Not next weekend but the weekend after that I wanted to invite you to this new bar that opened up. I really enjoyed you the last time so I thought maybe we can do it again as
friends..." she said
I thought about it for a few seconds.
"Of course..." I said making her smiling
"Great..." she said
"Like always I'll give you the info..."
I nodded. She walked off as I got in the truck. I started it and started on my route.
At 3:30, I was headed to my favorite neighborhood. The girls were outside playing.
"Hey, girls..." I said waving
They got up and ran to the truck. I hugged them and gave them the mail. We talked for a few before I headed off. I delivered everyone's mail and packages. I finally made it to the last house. It was 4:10. I saw that Pretty Lady was home and I saw an extra car in the driveway.
It was 3 packages with her name on them. I put them on the package carrier and headed up to the house. I ring the doorbell twice before the door was opened. At the door stood, a man whom I was assuming was Clark.
"What can I do for you??" He asked
"I have three packages addressed to Winter Bennett. I was wondering if she was here to sign for them..." I said looking at him
"I could sign for her..." he says
"I'm sorry but I'm going to need her..." I said looking at him
"But I'm her husband..." he says looking at me
"Clark who is that??" I heard the voice of the woman I had been looking for
She came around him and we made eye contact. She smiled at me.
"You have 3 packages that you have to sign for..." I said looking at her
"What did you order this time??" He asked
"None of your concern..." she said
She held her hand out for the clipboard. I put it in her hand.
"You need to stop spending our money on nonsense..." he said sounding a lil aggressive making me look up at him
"My money..." she said as she signed the paper
"What did I say??" He asked aggressively grabbing her hand
I moved closer but I felt her touch my hand. I looked down at her and she looked at me. I saw it all in her face that she didn't need any help. So, I backed down.
The way she looked at him, I could tell he was scared and regretted what he did.
"Clark you got five seconds to get your DAMN HANDS OFF ME!!" She yelled surprising us
"ONE-..."
He quickly let her go.
He looked up at me embarrassed and I was looking at him shockingly. So he walked off.
She scoffed.
She signed the paper and handed me the clipboard, but I grabbed her arm to pull her closer to me.
"You good??" I asked looking at her
"I'm okay..." she said looking up at me with a small smile
I looked at her for a few seconds and nodded. I let her go and went to grab the boxes. I put them where I put the ones last time before heading out.
"Kassidy..." I heard her say
I turned around and looked at her.
"Can I call you later??" She asked
"Of course Pretty Lady..." I said
She nodded before waving. I walked to the truck and saw she stood at the door until I pulled off.
