*Winter

Kassidy had been sleeping for like 2 hours. While she was sleeping, I was doing work. Once I was done, I was going through the schedule to see what was coming up this week. We had like 4 meetings which I and another girl doing virtual cuz we stayed back.

I closed my laptop down and went to the kitchen to get myself a bottle of water. While I was getting my water I heard the front door open. I walked out to see Ke and Arya.

"Hey..." I said smiling at them

"Wassup..."
"Hey..."

"I thought you were going on a work trip today..." Ke asked

"I was but Kassidy called me. She was with her parents today before they left and she got a bit of bad news..." I said

"Is her mom okay??" Ke asked

"At the moment, yes. But I'll let her tell you the rest..." I said and she nodded
"I'm bout go back before she wakes up..."

I went back into the room and closed the door. I crawled back into bed and she started moving. She turned towards me and opened her eyes. I smiled down at her. She smiled before stretching and yawning.

"How are you feeling??" I asked before sipping on my water

"I feel much better..." she said

"That's good..." I said looking at her

"What you have been doing??" She asked coming closer to lie under me

"I did some work and looked at the schedule so I know what I have to do throughout the
week??" I said

"Was you going home??" She asked

"I wasn't planning on it. That's if you don't mind..." I said

"You know I don't mind..." she said making me look down at her smiling

"So from what I just gathered he doesn't know you didn't go on the trip..." she asked making me chuckle

"Nah he doesn't. I don't want him to know either..." I said honestly

"Well you don't gotta worry about me
telling..." she said making me laugh

My stomach started growling.

"Somebody's hungry..." she said rubbing my stomach

"I forgot to stop to get food this morning..." I said coming to the realization

"Jesus Winter..." she said sitting up and looking at me

"What??" I asked

"It's bout to be 5 and you haven't eaten anything today??" She asked

"I forgot..." I said

She smacked her lips and shook her head. She got up and slid on her shoes.

"Kassidy..." I said but she kept walking

She walked out of the room and I got up to follow.

"Kassidy..." I said as she opened the fridge and freezer
"What are you doing??"

"Fixing some to cook cuz how can you sit here all day and not eat anything..." she said

"I forgot. Also, I have been drinking water all day so I wasn't hungry..." I said

"That's not healthy Winter..." she said looking at me

I pouted.

"I'm sorry..." I said
