They were all still in the pool while I was determined to make it to at least chapter 6 before going back into the house.
I've been on chapter 4 since we've been out here. I can't seem to focus. My eyes always find themselves fixed on Kassidy. She had on a bra and shorts. So her body and tattoos were showing. Her tattoos have always made me feel things and I couldn't help it. Then, she's in the pool so her down and it's dripping so just imagine what I'm going through.
While tryna focus on reading. I heard footsteps coming to me. I looked up and it was Kassidy's friend, Siah.
"Hey..." she said
"Heyy..." I said with a smile
I looked at Kassidy and she was looking at us with a small mug.
"Yeah, she thinks I'm up here flirting with you. She bout wanna kick my ass..." she says making me laugh "So what's going on with y'all??"
"Nothing much at this point..." I said honestly
"Gotta be something, I've lost count how many times I've seen y'all take a glance at each other..." she said
"Is it that obvious??" I asked looking at her
"Only if you're paying attention. So, I assume y'all got something or had something going..." she said
"We had something, but it's ova..." I said
"She's the one who broke it off, right??" She asked
"How you know??" I asked
"She gave me a slight summary of what happened with y'all..." she said
"Oh okay..." I nodded
"You still feeling her??" She asked
"You're nosy..." I said making her chuckle
"I'm just tryna see how imma play my cards..." she said
"What you mean by that??" I asked
"You know what, you don't have to answer that question cuz I know the answer..." she said smiling
I squint my eyes at her making her laugh.
"What? I just wanna be Dr. Love..." she said making me laugh
"SIAH!!" We heard making us both look toward the pool
"What??" Siah questioned
"Let me holla at you..." Kassidy said
"Pray for me..." she said making me laugh again
She walked away and sat on the edge beside Kassidy. Kassidy started talking then Siah said something making Kassidy grab her by the ear pulling her into the pool. I chuckled and shook my head. After that, I started focusing more on my book. But I did steal a lil glance here and there also catching her a few times. Scott got out of the pool, dried off then came to lay his head on my lap. I started rubbing my hand on his hair cuz it was so soft and the waves were swimming. I felt eyes on me. I looked up to see her staring at us. Then she quickly looked away.
"I think Kassidy thinks we have something going on..." I said
"Eww..." he says making me push him
"What is that supposed to mean??" I asked looking at him
"I'm not into women. So a kitty cat makes me cringe..." he said
"Nice save cuz you was bout to be on this hot ass ground..." I said making him chuckle
"Oh, if I was into women you'll be the first one I'll want..." he said before grabbing my ass
I smacked his hand.
"You grabbing my ass is not helping my case..." I said
"You right, my bad..." I said
I continued reading then I made it to chapter six. By this time, everybody had gotten out and was just sitting around the pool. I was halfway through when they went inside. I continued to enjoy the breeze and read. That was until my phone rang. I grabbed my phone to see it was my mom.
"Hey Mom..." I said smiling
"Hi, how are you doing??" She asked
"I'm great, how about you??" I asked
"I'm amazing..." she says making me smile
"Where's Dad??" I asked
"Just sent him to the store to get pie crust and cake mix..." she says
"What you about to make??" I asked
"A cheesecake for me and make lemon cake for your father... she says
"That sounds good..." I said
"Come get you a piece..." she said
"Mom, you know I'm on this trip..." I asked
"Oh yeah baby, I forgot..." she said "How's it going??"
"It's good. Scott and I got out a bit yesterday but we really ain't did too much today as of yet..." I said
"I hear you bring up the name Scott often, that's your new boyfriend??" She asked
"Mom, no. Scott's not into me or anybody like me for that matter. He and I are just friends..." I said
"Oh okay. When are you going to put yourself back out there? You can't let what Clark did hinder you from being happy and finding real true love..." she said
"Mom, I know. I'm just tryna be okay with being on my own for now. What's meant for me will come, no need to rush it. I'm just enjoying being on my own and being independent..." I said
"And I'm very Proud of you. Me and your father..." she says making me smile wider
"Thanks, Mom..." I said
We talked for a bit more before I went back to my book. After like 30 minutes, I finished chapter 6. I bookmarked where I left off, grabbed my phone, and headed in. I walk in to see Arya and Ke hugged up in the kitchen.
"Look at me kids, So cute..." I said making them turn around
"I thought you were in your room..." Arya said
"Nah, I was tryna finish chapter 6 before even moving..." I said showing them my book
They both nodded.
"Why y'all not outta y'all swim clothes??" I asked
"We were bout to get in the shower but babe wanted some fruit..." Arya said
"Well, gone shower and change so we a see what today is going to consist of..." I said
"Yes, Mother..." Ke said before grabbing Arya's hand and heading to their room making me chuckle
I went into the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water before going into my room. I stripped out this jumper and put on a robe to lay across my bed. While doing that I ended up falling asleep.
