CHAPTER 24: MTVI-00

The next morning Lola woke up anxious because she was going over the bunker for the first time in a while. She opened the curtains of her bedroom and the big window revealed downtown far away in the distance. She felt a bit sleepy because her thoughts were all about Oliver last night. Just like Isaac, she saw Oliver grow from a baby to a teenager, and her heart ached to think about what happened.

She cried as much as she could. For her, it was best to put out all the sadness first, and then deal with the feeling of loss. Probably it would never end, it would always be there because that person will never come back, but Lola was going to try to get used to it, to find happiness in other things, and think of how Oliver was an amazing boy to everyone.

Lola took a bath first, then she went to her closet. It was much bigger compared to her closet back in the bunker, so she had multiple choices of clothing. She ended up wearing a black heel, black leather pants that were tight to her skin, a long-sleeved dark blue shirt, and a black feathered jacket. She made quick and light makeup and left her hair loose, which was almost reaching her waist.

When she got to the first floor, her mother listened to the sound of heels clicking around and didn't hesitate before questioning her daughter leaving in high heels early in the morning. "LOLA, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" She screamed from the kitchen.

"NOWHERE." She screamed back, getting her car keys and leaving her mother without a proper answer. Inside the light leather seats of the vehicle, Lola turned on the automatic driving and took some pictures on her cellphone. She kept wasting time on social media until she arrived at the bunker. The news about what happened at the Cube was being discussed everywhere, questioning the President's attitude. Nothing would be done about it, but having people angry or questioning Kyedoth was already a good start.

After what felt like thirty minutes, Lola arrived at the bunker. The main system of the building instantly recognized Lola's car and face, so the garage gate was opened as soon as she stood in front of it. Inside the garage, Lola left her car and went down, passing through the usual steps before getting inside the common areas of the bunker. Lola missed the place a bit. It had a specific comfort that she couldn't find anywhere else. It felt like home.

When she got to the main entrance, Lola quickly looked around wondering where the boys could be. No one was in the kitchen, or the living room, neither in the gym nor in the leisure area, so she guessed they were still asleep. Lola's heels sounded on the floor as she walked to Gavin's room since it was the closest one.

Lola stood in front of the door and it opened, revealing a bed that looked like nobody slept on it. She furrowed her brows, thinking where the hell Gavin would be. She even looked in the bathroom, which had the door open and nobody inside. She got out of that bedroom, going to Isaac's instead. When the door opened, Lola saw a scene that left her speechless, her mind was blowing, was it a mirage? Probably she is having hallucinations.

Lola saw a shirtless Isaac sleeping and Gavin was there as well sleeping on his chest. Isaac had his arm hugging Gavin, the one that was not in pain because of the shot, and his hand touching the Malone's ribs. She got closer to the bed, not believing what her eyes were witnessing. Sure she was aware that Isaac had a thing for Gavin, she just was not expecting things to go further with it.

"Oh, my Gods." Lola said. She approached Gavin's side and shook his shoulder lightly. She wanted to talk to him first. Gavin moved on the bed and opened his eyes slowly. He didn't overreact when he saw Lola, instead, he fell back into Isaac's hold and closed his eyes again. "Hey, Lola. What time is it?"

"What time is it? I can't believe that is how you were comforting Isaac." She put a hand over her mouth, hiding her smile behind it. "It is 2 in the morning though."
