CHAPTER 78: MY SUN

"Well, Mr. Bethervan, we are done. I am now heading to Policy City. We are having a press conference in a few hours to share information about the ceremony and I will take the opportunity to talk about your case. Hopefully, things will get settled about this scandal. You do not need to worry, Mr. Bethervan."

"Thank you, Dtcherzyn." Isaac bluffed out. "This thing could not have come in a worser situation." He facepalmed himself.

"It will happen a lot, Mr. Bethervan. You and Mr. President together represent a frame of great power in all means. People who are not supporting you will try to get in the way of your personal and professional life, but we all have to be smarter than them and always one step ahead of them. We, the people behind the political side of your sun, always try to predict what can happen and how to prevent situations that already took place in other influential people's lives before."

"I understand. I see how politics work in general field since I was a child. It was something I wanted to stay away from, and well..." Isaac said while looking at Dtcherzyn's PAD with his statement written in it. "Did you see Gavin on your way here?"

"No, sir. I was wondering about Mr. President's location as well. I was hoping you could tell me that." Dtcherzyn said with a confused smile. In his head, Isaac would be always the one to know where Gavin was.

"I will excuse myself, Dtcherzyn."

"Sure, sir. I will find my way to the exit. We will see each other later tonight, Mr. Bethervan." With that said, Isaac left the kitchen and walked to the living room, seeing through the windows the front yard of the house. Gavin was not there, but his mother was. She was talking on the phone while walking around and she seemed uneasy, nervous. Isaac kept staring at her and she ended up realizing it. When their eyes met, Isaac walked out of the house to meet her. Angelina finished the call when her son was walking in her direction.

The suns rays were back again, illuminating both their skins perfectly. "How it was with Dtcherzyn?" She asked, putting her cellphone back in her pocket.

"It was fine. Have you seen Gavin?" He went straight to the point and Angelina furrowed her brows. She thought Gavin was going to meet them while they were talking, but he clearly did not.

"I thought he was with you. Is everything alright with him?" She stared at his face intensely, already guessing he knew something about it. "If you know something you better say it now, Isaac."

"I do not know anything, mother. I was just searching for him that is all."

"Hm... Gavin was complaining about headaches a few minutes ago, so I ordered medicine for him. A RFM should be here soon."

"Headaches? What headaches?"

"He complained about headaches. Are you sure you don't know anything about it? It is the health of the President we are talking about, which is also your sun."

"I did not want to talk about it because I did not know what it is about."

"But you shouldn't ignore the signs the body is giving. If he is having constant and strong headaches he needs to be examined, Isaac."

"Gavin survived the Cube, mother. It will not be a headache that will kill him." Angelina disapprovingly looked at him, wondering if she should tell Isaac about what she discovered on the other day or if she should keep it to herself a bit more.

"I am taking him to the hospital tomorrow morning. Doctor Plouthasi will examine him again and he indicated specific medication that will ease the headaches for today. We need him perfect for tonight."

"I will say again, Isaac. If you know something, you better tell me. It could be something very serious. Do you know how ellethremas starts? First, it is just a slight itching on the skin. It passes quickly. Then it gets more and more constant, where a new layer of skin is formed, then this new layer begins to putrefy like the body is already dead and the invasive organism starts to spread to the organs of the body, eating it like the MTVI-00 creates holes in the skin.
