CHAPTER 105: THE ALLIES

"I think it is much more attractive than Qorjal's downtown. I mean, it is visually cleaner and this is appealing to look at. Don't you think, Isaac?" The Malone boy was standing in front of a huge window in a luxurious penthouse in downtown Versital Propek, their new home during the next weeks. The view Gavin was talking about was similar to Qorjal's, but just like he said, it was not as visually polluted as the capital of the country. The majority of the skyscrapers were painted in light tones of neutral colors and had a lot of vegetation mixed in its extension, from ground floor to the launching platforms for floating jets high in the clouds height. Those followed the same extreme shapes like the buildings in Qorjal did, but they were way more elegant and sophisticated. At night, the colorful skyline added even more beauty to it. The holographic representations were gigantic and amazing to look at. Gavin looked behind his shoulder and saw Isaac around the bed searching for something. The room was not as big as their own in Sound of the Woods, but was comfortable. The boys just arrived there, having the clock hutting four in the morning.

The natural lightning entered the room easily, but a few lamps were on in there. Isaac had his silver suitcase on top of the bed and he was in eager to find something. The Bethervan was dressing a black long sleeved shirt that was slightly loose in his arms but outlined his chest, having a few bright white lines decorating it. His pants were loose as well, and shoes followed the same dark color. This time, Gavin was also in formal clothing, but in the highest tone of blue. Since they were being seen in airports and at the entrance of the building, he decided to please the media with that color. They were dressed in that way because they were heading to the Main Facility of the BHDM soon, to take pictures with the entire crew. As Zarkobretch addressed in the message, they needed to look majestic because they were the face of the nation and also the symbol of their mission. In the end, everything is about the visuals.

"What are you looking for?" Gavin sat on the bed by the side of the suitcase, glancing at his sun standing on his feet but with his back arched down a bit.

"That TSM brooch you gave me, remember?" He said without looking at his lover, still focused.

"And why do you want that brooch? We don't even know what it means."

Now Isaac fixed his position and looked at his sun. Gavin weren't aware of it until that moment, but the brooch had a significant meaning to him. "You gave it to me when I thought we would never see each other again. When we thought you would be killed in the Cube. I want to have it in my clothing once we get there."

Gavin smiled. He found it was cute and loving from Isaac to appreciate it this much. "I didn't know that. Sometimes I forget that behind this evil face stands someone cute, caring that only wants to be loved."

Isaac frowned at his words, but did not deny it. "Stop saying these things."

"We are alone, Isaac. No need to come up with the BBB pose." Gavin got up from the bed and stood next to him. Isaac was being careful so he wouldn't mess his suitcase, but since it was not working, Gavin turned it upside down and threw everything it had out on top of the bed.

"What the fuck are you doing, Gavin? In case you did not see, I was trying not to mess my clothes!" Isaac said irritated. He watched Gavin search in between the piles of clothing until his fingers grabbed something metallic, and there it was, the golden brooch with TSM written in it.

"You are welcome, Isaac." He handed him the brooch and stood on his tippy toes to give him a kiss on the cheek. "Are you ready to leave? Zarko said someone is going to meet us in the lobby to accompany us to the Facility. Everybody is there already, even the Opus' troops."

"Troops?" Isaac turned around and watched Gavin walk to the living and dining room, which was only one space. In front of it, a giant terrace gave a stunning view of the city and also the horizon. "I thought we were not turning it into a military intervention, Gavin." Isaac walked out of the bedroom and met his lover in front of a mirror wall in the middle of the room, fixing his clothing.
