The days passed by slowly, even more when the main trio didn't have much to do but to watch TV and Atthlyc work in the computer. Besides it, all of them were getting tired of just eating quickly food and snacks every day in every meal, but that suffering was needed and couldn't be avoided since they didn't have the utensils to cook in Chemeris' house. When it comes about the Code of Living, in seven days, Atthlyc managed to break the codification of 52 of the 100 lines in total. He failed in discovering some malwares during the way and he had to do it from the beginning, but after doing it so much, ha started to memorize the steps of the process. Fortunately, that type of malware didn't change the main database of the encrypted information. Some could alternate their algorithms for safety reasons.
Gavin kept by Atthlyc's side most of the times so he could write the translated codes into their common language. So far, what Gavin read, was much more like a reflexive text about the destiny of the country, but the more they went further into the 100 line text, the more Gavin saw that the writer instigated the result of the end, provoking them to get to the 100th line of the codes and find out what the Code of Living is hiding that much.
Another five days passed on, and they were starting to get crazy inside the white lab every day. It felt like they were inside a hospice, being locked up for eternity. Atthlyc started working 36 hours a day so he could finish faster, but his anxiety for the end was actually a virus into his goal, where he was not concentrating properly and was being tricked by the malwares several times. He swore and screamed, almost punched the computer out of anger sometimes, while Gavin just stared at him going insane because he was too tired to do something.
Gavin's hands were sweaty on the day they reached the 99th line, very close to the end after almost three weeks working on it. Dealing with encrypted data was not easy, and Gavin hoped he wouldn't see one of these ever again. After intriguing them so bad and wasting a lot of their time, the Code of Living was fully broken and translated. What it hid was simple, but it had the importance of one million innocent lives.
"Upon setting foot on the frigid terrain of the celestial body I would designate as Nix, I never anticipated reaching such a remarkable milestone. A staggering population of 15 billion individuals now inhabits a place that many brilliant minds deemed inhospitable, where numerous uninformed individuals proclaimed that our bodies would instantly freeze without proper protective attire. However, we have unequivocally refuted these claims, approaching our imminent 3000th anniversary on Nix. The intricacies of the measures we have undertaken to secure our survival elude adequate explanation, and our commitment to this endeavor persists even beyond death. I would willingly repeat these efforts a thousandfold if necessary. Nix, Qorjal, and Plekenccy are the cherished passions of my existence. I have pledged to safeguard them at any cost, ensuring their longevity even in the absence of my breath.
Nix shall forever remain intertwined with our lineage, and it is solely our family that possesses the capability to safeguard and govern the nation with the necessary competence. My successor, my firstborn child, shall lead the country towards a splendid and prosperous future, shielding it from the pernicious and destructive inclinations of Titan. The journey that lies ahead for my son, which shall serve as an inspiration to countless individuals, is fraught with danger and adversity. However, the celestial bodies will conspire to illuminate his intellect, enabling him to make astute decisions of utmost significance. While he must carve his own path, I have established a politically viable proclamation that guarantees his legitimacy as a formidable leader, guiding him throughout the process of governing our nation.
