Gavin got inside the house and his airways were surprised by the delightful smell of well seasoned vegetables and meat. Noises were coming from the kitchen and he did not hesitate before walking over there and spotting the tall man cooking their dinner. Isaac was wearing black shorts that showed his muscly and hairy legs and a t-shirt on the same color. The Bethervan had his back facing the entrance so he didn't see Gavin coming in and he was too focused on the food to listen to the door being unlocked. Gavin came home with a bunch of physical files in hand and he slammed it on the stone island to scare Isaac out. It worked, or something like it.

"Was that an attempt of scaring me?" Isaac said without facing Gavin.

"I saw very well that you trembled a little bit. We are alone, Isaac. There is no need to put up the big bad boy pose." Gavin stood by his side and Isaac finally glanced at him. He released the hold on the utensils and gave his lover a quick wet kiss.

"I do not do that pose." He answered and returned to chop the meat. They had utensils that could easily do that work but Isaac preferred to do it with his hands. "What are these? Are we bringing work home?"

"Those are conclusion statements of the discussions about the Abyss Zone. I asked someone to write it down for me because I felt it was important. I mean, it was almost an unanimous agreement, so we will start the process of intervention inside the area. The Opus will command it." Gavin said like it was nothing but he felt excited inside.

"Congratulations, love." Isaac smiled and passed an arm behind Gavin's neck. "I read some articles about it. Several political commentators were narrating it online."

"Dtch said the public liked the idea of helping ease the situation over there. Anyway, are you excited for tomorrow?"

"Is there a reason to be excited about?" Isaac released Gavin and the boy rolled his eyes. "It is a genuine question."

"I am excited because I feel like Zarkobreatch is the only person capable of helping me understand the things I see. I know you wouldn't understand it." Gavin said, taking a seat next to the island.

"It is not like that and you know it. We just have different ways of seeing things. We always did, Gavin." Isaac said. He turned around to face Gavin and he walked closer to the boy, standing by his side. "Did yours guards see anything near the forest back there?"

"Not that I know. Why you ask?" Gavin looked up at him to answer.

"My Lenses detected a presence over there but I saw nothing. I do not know. It could be a person, an animal. You should ask them to check it out."

"It is funny how you say you should but your voice demands me to do it." Gavin smiled at the passive aggressive tone of his lover. "But I will ask them to do it. If there was anything, Pheoder would have said to me already, but I will do it."

"Thank you, Gavin. Now go upstairs take a shower. Dinner is almost ready."

Gavin got up and grabbed his files. "You know what? You sound just like your mother."

"You did not say that."

"It is a compliment, silly. Your mother is a great person, Isaac."

"Shower, Gavin!"

The boys ended up eating dinner a few minutes after that, since Gavin's bath was quick and did not take more than ten minutes. What could such a small person have so many things to wash that it would take him ten minutes to do a fast shower? Only Gavin knew.

After it, they decided to spend the rest of the night together watching something over the television, always avoiding channels that would talk about politics or things related, since they were full of it already. Gavin was sitting on the couch, having his back touching the tallest's chest while the Bethervan's arm was behind Gavin's neck bringing him closer to his touch. The illumination in the living room was not strong, but was there. Gavin decreased the opacity of the windows so they were not facing anything on the outside and vice-versa. Sometime during their movie time, Gavin got bored and picked up his cellphone, analyzing the notifications he was receiving. The light of the device brightened his face slightly. "I will be very honest now." Said him out of nowhere, taking Isaac's eyes away from the television. "I like your mother a lot. I mean it when I say. But every time I ask her about the doctor she said she was going to find for me, she changes the subject to a random matter that is not related to it and it is getting me on my nerves."
