CHAPTER 54: THE PROPHECY OCCURS

You know me as the Outlander, but my name is Gavin Brandon Malone, the eldest and only child of Chemeris Brandon Malone. I stand here not only for myself but also for my father, who, like me, was a victim of Kyedoth's injustice. I exercise my legal right to demand a presidential substitution in this very moment. However, I cannot achieve this alone. I ask you, fellow citizens of Qorjal, whether you are civilians, members of the military, or politicians, to join me in this great endeavor. Let us stand shoulder to shoulder, united in our pursuit of a better future, where justice, fairness, and the aspirations of the people reign supreme.

The voice of the young Gavin echoed through the speakers of the E-LED panels and giant holographic reflectors of Ministrial Avenue, one of the most crowded places in downtown Qorjal during business hours. The version of the recording that aired to the nation on public displays, television and on the internet, had the background changed to a very bright room, having white floor and a pedestal deep in picture. Gavin's clothing was painted in the dark blue color, the highest office tone, resembling the night sky of Qorjal. The video caught their attention suddenly and the eyes of the public were glued to the big screens. No one understood in first place, but the video was being played over and over. People started to gather in huge amounts on the sidewalks to watch it. Cars of every type, jets, motorcycles and floating buses that were not automatic also interrupted their movements to see what the crowd was looking so much at.

After the public's first reception, it was the time for the media to talk about the matter. Titles like 'CHEMERIS' LAST PRECEPT TURNED INTO REALITY', 'PRESIDENT KYEDOTH'S POSITION AS A LEADER THREATENED BY THE OUTLANDER', and things related, were all around the internet. TV news showed Gavin's video and explained the content, questioning things like its veracity, not only about Gavin saying that 'he had the legal right' to proclaim a presidential substitution, but also about him being Chemeris' child.

The public's reaction was exactly like Angelina said. No one was going against the president so fast like that, but the majority of Chemeris supporters were in a hysterical state, which a lot of them thought the rain from days before was a sign from the Gods that their son Chemeris would thrive once again. They made prayers and marches on avenues, holding signs saying 'Chemeris son will save us', 'Hallowed be the father and the son', 'Kyedoth no more' and other things that showed support to the Malone boy. Both sides of the fight saw the Malone brothers as bigger divinities that loved them more they could even imagine. The reality was a bit different from that.

Turned out that the announcement made the country a big mess, even more because Kyedoth still did nothing about it. Gavin and Isaac wondered what have happened to him because two days after the news have passed and Kyedoth didn't say a thing about. The compressor device was successfully delivered to him, and he read the entire file, knowing his advantages and disadvantages, which were in higher number. The thing he hated the most was that the file was real. The announcement video he saw was not an acting. It was real. That was Chemeris son all along. He always thought he was the last one from the original Malone lineage, but it seemed like he had a nephew to care for.

Three days after the announcement, Isaac received a call from Atthlyc. He was in the gym within the house but he took a break from his workout to talk to him. Isaac was still not in good terms with Gavin so they weren't kissing or sleeping together anymore. "Atthlyc?" He said when he answered the call, wondering what he could possibly want.

"Man, have you checked the internet? Shit is going crazy for you two."

"Good shit or bad shit?" Isaac took long sips of water from his bottle.
