A high tree was placed in the middle of the Square room, having pools of liquid water in the four edges of the place. The room was exaggeratedly wide, having enough space to fit one hundred cars inside, but only 5% of that space was being used. The vastness gave a cold and lonely aura to the room, and the people who were inside of it made that feeling even stronger.
Gavin walked with Symeon by his side, who was giving him some advices for the conversation he was about to have, and all of his eight guards accompanied both of them. The lawyers were gathered in a circle, talking while Gavin's presence was not noticed. When the steps sounds became higher, they turned to watch the little man walking in their direction with a smile on. Even though Gavin didn't have gentleness hidden for any of Kyedoth's supporters, he was going to play the act very well.
"Good morning to all of you, workers of the law." Gavin said when the distance between them was short enough to hold a conversation. Chairs were displayed around them to sit, but none of them did it. Their faces were all neutral, and three of them looked directly at a red haired woman, signaling for her to lead the conversation.
"Good morning, Mr. Malone." The woman said strictly. While everyone was addressing Gavin as Mr. President, Kyedoth's supporters wouldn't accept he as such, but they would maintain the politeness. "We are the former team of lawyers of President Kyedoth. My name is Svetlana Ovechkin and I will hold the conversation with you." Her voice was stiff and so were her features, but besides the threatening aura of her, Gavin was not startled by it.
"That is great, Ms. Ovechkin. What matters you and your team needed to discuss with me?"
"First, we need to clarify that President Kyedoth never wrote a will to assign his belongings to a person, but we are obligated by law to transfer all of it to the blood related family if there is one." She handed a PAD for Gavin to read a document that listed all of Kyedoth's possessions and his entire income during all of these years. Gavin got surprised by the amount of zeros he saw. He couldn't even pronounce that number. "The properties, the fortune, the departments and companies once controlled by President Kyedoth are now yours, Mr. Malone."
Gavin read the file with more attention and saw that even the Federal Opus was now under his management. "His fortune will be mine, so I can do whatever I want with it?"
"That is correct, Mr. Malone."
"I do not need all that. I will never be able to address a use to this amount of loan." He looked straight at the woman's face. "I want to direct 80% of this value to public resources nationally, to split with all the states equally, even those involved in the Abyss Zone. I know these states are currently excluded from everything." Symeon was shocked by Gavin's words, but he liked the idea he proposed. The man also took note of what his boss just said. The team of dreadful lawyers were also caught in surprise, but they couldn't refute what the boy just said.
"It is an... interesting proposal, Mr. Malone." Svetlana said in a doubtful tone. "Once the value is in under your hold, you can donate it to the Public Resources and Services financial department and explain your guidelines. I advice you that the Federal Opus should be receiving these investments as well, just like the other companies Mr. President once managed."
"You mean, more investment, right? I know the Federal Opus receives fifty trillion per year. I don't know if that is necessary but eventually I will study the case."
"You should do that to make the soldiers like you, Mr. Malone. They are not happy with the news of their new leader. You should also mark a meeting with them and present yourself as the new commander of the military."
"That is something I am not concerned about. I am not interested in pleasing the Federal Opus entity at first instance, Ms. Ovechkin. Maybe I am not interested in doing it in my lifetime." He said while reading the document. He wanted to be sure that no tricks were being played out by the team of lawyers.
