The more Gavin explored the room, the more horrified he felt. He saw that on top of the capsules, an identification number was displayed, and so far, he saw more than 500 people emerged into the black dense liquid. He didn't know that some of those bodies had some members missing because the lightning was poor, but he kept walking forward in the room. Somewhere between the capsule 630 and 625, Gavin heard the only door of the room being unlocked, sliding to the sides and unveiling five people. Four were by the sides of a floating medical bed, carrying a body with a metallic arm and leg. Those implants had several layers that composed a structure to play the shape and vital components of a leg. It was a beautiful creation, but not quite functional.
In front of the floating bed, a tall and muscular man had a big PAD in hands, probably taking note of the subject situation. He watched the crew of doctors put the body inside an empty capsule. Gavin was not much away from that point, so he approached them slowly. He was curious because it was the first time he saw real people in his mind trips, and it was the first time it happened in weeks. The medicine Angelina gave him was probably being recurrent in his organism and the effect was getting weaker each time he took it.
His heart rate was at its highest when he saw that the muscular man in question was his own creator. The famous and infamous Chemeris Malone. It was now the second time he saw his father, and both occasions were in out of his reality experiences. It was undeniable that Chemeris generated him. The similarity between them was unique and solid. Chemeris looked like a more mature and refined version of his son. By that period, Chemeris was 2100 years old, but his visuals never left his 40s.
Most of the times, Gavin felt indifferent about his father, but when he saw the man close to him, he felt his heart ache. That was the owner of his existence, of his entire story. Chemeris had done incredible things so his son could survive in that world, even though it was for his self interest, but he did. Gavin tried to touch him, but he couldn't get too close to Chemeris. It was like an invisible barrier contoured his skin. No matter how Gavin applied force into it, he couldn't get close enough to his father. Chemeris was a vision of the past now, and Gavin needed to understand that to know why he couldn't affect or do anything in the scene he was in.
"Let number 234 under sleep in B-ENZ for approximately three days. The implants will adjust faster. Let's hope the organism does it in the same speed." He said while taking another look in his PAD. "Let's get number 235 for daily valuation-" Chemeris stopped suddenly when he felt a warm wave hit a part of his bicep. He looked to the direction of the feeling, but his eyes caught nothing.
As the smart man he was, Chemeris moved his hand around his sides, trying to reach for something invisible. On the other side, Gavin saw the hand of his father get close to him, but not being able to touch it the same way it happened to him. The reality was different in both occasions. One lived the past, and the other was seeing his present. The two situations could not coexist together, but what happened in the present could not change the past. It meant that 995 years ago, Chemeris felt a heat wave by his side, and it would be caused by the child he didn't even think of generating during that time.
Gavin's mind trips were a mystery. He didn't know how and who was behind it, but he was sure someone, or an entity, was controlling all the things he saw during these short periods. His highest suspicion was that the man himself was behind all of it, because during their first encounter, in his near death experience, Chemeris confirmed his knowledge and pride towards what he and Isaac did in Qorjal.
Chemeris eventually let it off and returned to do his work, and with that, Gavin randomly looked to the side, having his surroundings changing again, returning to his lone backyard in his house located in Sound of the Woods. He saw the papers thrown at the floor after the strong wind blew them off the couch. Gavin heard his guards running in his direction, with guns in hold, showing concern. "Mr. President! Is everything alright? We heard screams... and your eyes are sore red." One of them asked with uncertainty. Seven guards in total came running to the boy's direction, all wearing their high protective suits.
